Gulfstream Quiet Spike

I've heard of Air-Spike and Aero-Spike... but this technology seems infinitely more useful in some ways. NASA and Gulfstream have developed a variable geometry "Quiet Spike" to reduce sonic boom and perhaps lead the way back to an enviro-friendlier SST through management of the sonic/aero envelope.
