it looks like a dud missle or something hitting the helicopter but there seems to be a hovering object further away that launches it

That looked like the film that a TV crew took when at the World Trade Center on 9/11.

Of course just as with everything else it was debunked but I don't think they used swamp gas on that one, lol.

Pretty cool, isn't it.

lol, this was discusses a couple weeks ago, all it was was viral marketing, a commercial put together by the scifi channel

It is an old Sci-Fi channel commercial, although i have to admit it is a pretty cool one.

I wish it was more than just a promo. It's when people put things like this on T.V. and don't do their research that the whole UFO communtiy looks a little bit less "sane", if only people would be more sensible with their evidence we wouldn't be considered loonies.

Very old, it was made for the Sci-Fi channel. Another humourous aspect is that July 24th, the supposed date of this occurence, is my birthday.

Anyway, very old, already debunked.

They say it's fake (sci-fi) but let me tell you..... they did a good job if it is.

This is exactly why proof if hard, sad.

And yes its just an ad for sci fi, there were others too, like the infestation of bugs at a picnic, and some guy who gets electrocuted.

It was for a site on Sci-Fi.com called "Happens". It was most likely done with a mixture of computer imaging and green-screen photography.

As DalairTheGreat has pointed out, even Rense has debunked it. If Rense doesn't believe it, you can guarantee it's fake
