Judge Dismisses Child Porn Charges Against John Mark Karr

I'm thinking that the government is doing one or both of the following:
1. Getting our society used to the idea that pedophilia is normal.
2. Causing a distraction from "something" else (probably related to the war in Iraq)

Why are we seeing so many sexual-based crimes against children? These people are all in the news now:

John Mark Karr
Florida congressman Mark Foley
Amish school shooter,Charles Carl Roberts had history of molestation.
Colorado school shooter Duane Morrison, sexually assaulted the girls he held hostage.

Distraction? From what?
