It's been the hotest crypotgraphy theory this past decade: using quantum physics to aid in encryption.
Except it's largely been theory -- the technology hasn't been largely available to meet up with the wonderful and powerful ideas.
Until Now?
Ordinarily, the U.S. Patent office is full of bogus inventions. But this one -- sponsored by the Department of Energy itself -- seems to have legs;
and it very well could open the door to the quantum encryption revolution.
Basically, this scientist invented a way to polarize photons for encryption at
room temperature, plus a cheap and easy way to read them that
doesn't take up huge amounts of baud and memory.....
