Scaring The Public Into Submission - Terrorists May Use Cargo Planes

I'm sick and tired of the news corporations and washington scaring it's citizens into fearing terrorists. Terrorists could use anything. There is such a huge number of ways a terrorist/bunch of terroirst could strike a country and cause terror/death. Why does the United States Government repeatedly tell it's citizens that terrorists could do this, terrorists could do that? Why? They want to scare the public into submission. Scare the public into giving up thei rights. Giving up thier freedom. Dont be fooled by the Terrorist threats, alerts, what they could do. Just keep living ur life as usual as always. All the Media and the Government are trying to do is change the way the country is run from a democratic state into a facists state. What sort of state is the United States now? Certainly not democratic.

Just think what terroists could do. Hell imagine you were a terrorist and you wanted to cause as much terror/panic as possible. What could you do? I'm sure you can think up many things that you could do and do without even being caught. Hell i cant hink up one right now. Buy a heap of grenades on the black market and head into a city such as New York. Head up tot he top of a building and throw a heap of grenades down from the top after taking out the pins. Throw themin all diferent directions. Then quickly head down and out of the building via the staircase/elevator, and go help the injured people outside, or just get the hell outta there. Noone would even suspect you especially if you helped out people, or even if oyu just got the hel out of the city and went back to your home in another city, etc. People could do so much, get away with so much, cause havoc, terror. Dont let the media scare oyu and get you into a frenzy. You could die ANYTIME. You'd probably be more likely to die from a car crash then by a terrorist attack.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- U.S. officials said Friday there is recent intelligence suggesting terrorists may want to use cargo aircraft to attack targets in the United States.

The officials noted that they have been worried about cargo planes since security around passenger flights was increased after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The Government policies makers are almost de-sensitizing the public by continuing to hammer on possible "terrorist threats", etc. This is not good.

People will either become paranoid or become de-sensitized and not heed anything that is given as possible warning....this will lead to over-reaction or no reaction........again, this is not good and the government policy makers need to get a grip on this and soon.


They can not continue to keep calling "wolf", over and over again without negative ramifications of doing so.

That's what i'm afraid of.

That soon they will have to create another terrorist threat. And they will do so.

Well number one the definition of a terrorist needs to be explained to people. Its basically a political concept that a smaller group uses in order to gain religous or political motives, its a shock effect in order to gain attention. And by being afraid, we are playing right into their motives.

The reality is that if anyone was pissed off enough and wanted to kill a few thousand civilians, they would find a way, there are loopholes in any system.

What if they said on 9/10 terrorists would hijack planes and run them into tall buildings, pentagon shaped buildings, and fields in PA???

Myself, I think they should give us a heads up on any info they have, then we can decide if it's 'scaring us'

That was exactly what I was thinking, they have do issue the alerts, therefore the terriosts get more exposure in the media.

I guess in the days of the global media, a Goverment can never win

Alot of you on this board will be considered Terrorists in the not so distant future. Tracked as yellow or orange and sent away. They are tracking you already.

There is a legitimate advantage to all of this in a democracy and it is the idea that freedom has a cost. Frankly I don't mind it because we have had it easy for too long.

That is the good side of it, of course the bad side is the potential for abuse and setup's that could and would occur.
