1. The routine that prompted the pop-up may well have seen Spyware on your machine, you may well be regularly sending signals to several trackers, but
you never know.
2. Pop-up ads for programs that purport to kill pop-ups are as funny as the 10% of spam that I get now that promises to kill spam.
3. I use Ad-Aware. It works fine. And I even let it get rid of the clint.dll that is needed to run Kazaa Lite, and replaced it.
4. I don't know enough about keyloggers, but when I positively identify the individual/s who have attempted to get into one of my PCs to identify and
observe me, they will find that there is more to pain than either physical or virtual.
