PATRIOT ACT: Law's use causing concerns

The investigation of strip club owner Michael Galardi and numerous politicians appears to be the first time federal authorities have used the Patriot Act in a public corruption probe.

"The law was intended for activities related to terrorism and not to naked women," said Reid, who as minority whip is the second most powerful Democrat in the Senate.

I agree with Senator Reid this has nothing to do with terrorism. What's next? Are they going to kick in the doors at the local Brothels? Who's going to pay for all the ambulances, in Nye County than? We sure won't get any money for storing Nuclear Waste at Yucca.

* suspected relationships with people who have suspected links with suspected terrorists
* home invasion and search
* deportation
* money laundering
* meth labs / drug manufacture
* am an caught with a pipe bomb (WMD) big enough to blow up a suburban letterbox.

What else can it be used for?

Use your imagination! Anything to make the work of the authrities easier. Many lawyers involved in drafting the Victory Act (Patriot II) will tell you that's the point.
