As for the main topic....all of you saying that you would be "freedom fighters", put yourself in their shoes. Would you defend a country that serin gassed your family? I'm all for patriotism and defending old glory and the country in a freelance freedom fighting manner, I really am, but what if Bush decided that your town would be a good place to test military weapons? Besides those facts, most Iraqis don't want to kill Americans. Again, it's the insurgents who do. They're not all jihadists waiting for an American soldier to turn around so they can stab him in the back. In fact, most people in Iraq support our troops rather than attack them. Granted, differing cultures do tend to cross, but generally it is overcome.

So no. They neither have the right nor do they actually want to kill Americans.

I think we all realise that we have made a huge mistake which has cost people there livelyhood, there familes, there businesses, there homes and in some cases there lives..

and we deserve to be punished...

But, there are people who will see that punishment as an attack,. rather than payback.

because some people cant get there head around the fact that every life we destroy or take in Iraq has been proven ILLEGIAL!

We don't intentionally kill innocent Iraqis. We were bound to have to go into Iraq eventually. And, by the way, watch what you say about us deserving punishment. Go tell that to the mother or wife of one of the 18 or 20 year old soldiers who was decapitated on public TV. I'm not attacking you, I'm just suggesting you watch how you word things. I'd like to believe that my friends' dads are risking thier lives for a good cause.

Well, we are hearing more and more about rampaging americans killing and raping...

But im sorry to say that the people responsible for Iraq deserved to be punished for this crime.

America chose to punish Iraq and Afghanistan as a WHOLE country for the crime of sept 11..

yet it is WRONG for the victims of THERE sept11 to seek punishment in return?

You like many others watch the news too much. The news tells you of those rapes, beatings, and torture. You know what they don't tell you? They don't tell you about all of the victories our soldiers have. The weapons storage facilities destroyed, the terror cells stopped, all the terrorists that get killed when one of our soldiers dies, the soldier who risks his life to get an innocent civilian out of the line of fire, the supplies we hand out to the starving citizens, the soldiers handing out candy bars to children and playing soccer with them. THATS WHAT YOU DONT HEAR ABOUT.

But I dont blame you. The media can confuse many intelligent people. Why do they do it? A good story.
