Something has come out of these talks, but is it really a positive?
Iran has agreed to suspend enrichment for 2x months, ONLY if it is not forced by pressure.
Isnt that a bit of an oxymoron? Arent we applying pressure simply to be at this point?
How much 'non pressure' days are iran going to want, in order for them to halt enrichment for 2x months.
Is this just getting stupid now ?
Iran had months and months of 'non pressure' days before the security council met, before the deadline passed.. but have now told the world, if you
stop this 'new and current' course of pressure from the UN, we will halt enrichment for 2 months.
Does anyone get the feeling here, the west is being setup, to become a scape goat when iran turns around and says
' the only way your going to stop us, is through force '
by which they can desrcibe the US as being unco-operative in negotiations.
" Hey, we said we'd stop, but you wouldnt back off.. its now YOUR Fault "
Sure, a right to enrich, is that.. a RIGHT.
But in Irans current condition, it isnt exactly CRUCIAL to them that they enrich NOW... that is if its for peaceful purposes.
But why are Iran willing to have to much international pressure, sanctions and laws put against them, simply so they can continue doing something,
which isnt going to yield immediate results, and which is availabel to them AFTER a 'reasonable' deal has been worked out.
Its backwards terminolgy.
If Iran, was truely, TRUELY after peaceful nuclear energy, they would cease enrichment, accept the worlds conditions so that they can argue there case
for PEACEFUL enrichment. If you have to do it the long , drawn out way to convince the world your after a PEACEFUL programme, you would. after all,
all you want is the right to research isnt it. The only way your going to get that right is to sit down, talk... and accept the fact that the man
incharge isnt convinced..
its your job to convince him of your 'admirable' goals, not there job to take a risk and ignore years of hostility and threats simply because you
feel its your right.. to research this potentially global effecting technology.
Im sure Iran knows this too, which is why they are stalling talks.
