I have been on this site a wee while now and have viewed any number of picture, clips and movies etc of Chupacabras, weird animals, UFO's, alien interviews etc but this video i found on youtube under the search "Ufo" totally astounds me and i would love some feedback from the the belivers and sceptics because to me, this looks as close to real as i have ever seen.

A truly spectaular, high res, non-grainy, in focus, many angle, multi shot video of what is certainy, a craft like no other i have ever seen in the sky.

UFO footage

Let me know what you think

Good footage there, albeit too dark to see much detail, good find anyway.

I must admit though i'm always dubious about ufo footage that appears on places like YouTube without also hearing much about it on mainstream news sites. I mean if it's genuine footage of a decent quality, why has it only been discovered on YouTube?

Can the size of a craft be misinterpreted or falsified due to the light thats it's seen in? I mean could this be someone in a car with a radio controlled model and some clever camera work? Could the darkness make it seem bigger than it is? Just pumping out questions here, not sure if they are relevant at all?

Good find again though.

Skeptik1st

I do believe your right. it's Richard Branson ballon, the owner of Virgin Galactic.

Looks more like a hot-air ballon to me than a UFO. The craft is 'floating', not moving much on it's own (the 'chase vehicle' is providing all the 'realtive action').

The few short blasts of propane burn near the end is conducive with hot air balloon flight. Rigging lights around the circumference are cheap and easy to add.

There are several hot-air balloons already constructed in the shape of a UFO for merely show&tell amusement purposes - you can see one or more at many HotAirBalloon festivals, e.g., in Albuqurque each year.

Any half-way skilled balloon maker can sew up just about any shape you want.

My vote: 85% hot-air balloon; 10% other hoax/fake; >5% other/unknown.

I'm not saying this vid is of the occasion, but Branson does have a balloon like that.

The saucer turned out to be a hot-air balloon that had been specially built to look like a UFO by Richard Branson, the 36-year-old chairman of Virgin Records. The stunt combined his passion for ballooning with his love of pranks.

It's stunts like this that give the ufo community a black eye

Branson's only 36 years old?!?!? He looks at least 45, if not older

Anyway - after viewing this a few more times, I have no doubts this is a IFO Stunt balloon - a PR stunt. Not a very good one either...

You happen to have a photo of Branson's balloon we can compare it to?

off-topic P.S. I wouldn't mind taking a ride in Branson's new SpaceShipOne, though - but at $200K/seat, I'll have to wait till the cost comes down a bit (no peanuts, either!).
