Hello Everyone, this is my first thread -- please be kind.

I've always been wondering how piloted UFOs navigate during atmospheric flight, or even short distanct space travel (not requring FTL feature) as those UFOs were most of time reported without windows. I assume it's impossible to see through metals that make up the UFOs, even though they're alien metals.

Here on earth, planes and space shuttles all have windows for pilots to see through to navigate their path. Visuals are acutally fairly important despite all those electronic equipments aiding pilots. So how do aliens actually 'see' its path outside of the UFO?

Good question

They probably have metals, like some that we're experimenting with now, which become transparent when they're subjected to an electrical current or field of some sort. They would probably have sections of the hull made out of those metals. They would most likely also have viewscreens of some sort onboard as well. As far as navigating at sublight speeds goes, they probably use the same method we do, reference star triangulation. They just pull out their charts for the local area, pinpoint a bright star that they can identify and then use that as a reference from which to navigate off. In deep space, they might even employ navigational beacons from which they can take positional references off. So far as navigating in an atmosphere of a planet, they also probably use similar methods as we do. I would imagine they'd have latitude and longtitude charts for each planet they've visited (or at least their equ' of such charts). They may also use geomagnetic and gravity anomoly charts as well.

It would be very interesting to find out.

Lazar (believe him or not) commented on this, and alleged abductees have mentioned this too.

During flight, portions of the hull become transparent (one or two-way) allowing visibility as desired. At least that is one explanation. Keep in mind, even our tech allows us to fly solely on instruments if we needed to. If nothing else, viewscreens could certainly be used to do so, so windows are not a necessity. Do you think nuclear subs drive using the windows? Nope....
