This is not meant to be an ideological discussion, Hitler's policies clearly were a blight upon human history. This more rather is about the man himself. Was he insane? Evil? A Monster?

Someone once said to me, "Hitler was a man, a human being, not a monster."

It meant so little at the time, how can he possibly be a human?

And then tonight I stumbled across this excellent video Hitler's Paintings and as if in a sudden flash, that entire era seemed to be captured in a different light.

Instead of the monsterous evil of the German and Nazi War Machines and it became a sad tragedy which fit the theme of the song. Suddenly Hitler was a man like everyone else and behind one dark side lay another aspect of mankind that we praise.

And then my question arose...why is this never really taught? Why was Germany made to suffer because of Hitler, when even through all his barbarism Hitler was as artistic as some of the finest Germans renouned.

If you want to get psychological about it, Ill point out that Hitler's paintings basically showed still, generally lifeless scenes where humans are not present, or are reduced to a small size. One could say it is the sign of a sociopath, who eliminates or reduces humanity in art to insignifigance.

Hitler was very fond of buildings and arcitecture.

That's one of the most retarded interpretations I ever heard.

1) Hitler does paint people proportionally.

2) Hitler had an architectural mind and painted structures more than anything...

3) Hitler painted still-lifes such as flowers and etc...

What you're talking about is not a sign of psychosis but merely you reaching.

Psychos and sociopaths tend to have more chaotic scenes.

Please provide examples of Hitler's artwork containing a person or people.

This thread is going to do nothing but become a flamefest.
