Microsoft tackles anti-copy hole
This is the second time I am posting this... the first time 'wecomeinpeace' deleted my thread because it provided links to both the hack utility and
the forum where the hacker was bragging about it... but nonetheless... it has since made BBC news.
The file name is Fairuse4wm
And the entity that seems to know about using it goes by the name viodentia at Doom9's forum.
Microsofts digital rights management (
DRM) is what makes certain
audio/video available to all but readable only by those that pay. DRM has long been
critisized
by the tech community as unfair technology that makes certain hardware instantly obsolete and fails to really protect anything.
There is plenty out there on why DRM is evil; check it out on google.
