"Clown Therapy" is a program where people dressed as clowns entertain patients either in hospital settings or their homes. It became popular in the
United States because it helped cancer patients, especially children.
The article from
BBC NEWS explains that women in Israel who underwent in vitro fertilization
had a much higher success rates when they had also been entertained by clowns.
The doctor notes that the issue remains one of "who will pay the clowns?"
