It is what it is... whatever that may be... A pile of rocks, a skull, a helmut. Whatever it is, if it is a skull or helmut, perhaps we need to open our minds that it may not be "human" and therefore the design would certainly be different to what we get here and we need to change the mindset that alien skulls may NOT look like human skulls - so pointing out the fact the the orfices for the eyes buldge outward means nothing unless we know it is human, again if it IS a skull, then we can point out the inconsistencies. hmmmmm... anyways, my 2 cents again...

One thing that comes to mind is that NASA takes thousands of pictures. Like the clouds in the sky, some of them are bound to have a resemblance to recognizable shapes. It's an interesting picture, but like the other face on Mars, this is probably just a trick of light on a natural formation.

Human or not, if we are thinking along the lines of the object as an endoskeletal cranium, I am suggesting that darkened holes wouldn't bulge outward, but rather into the mass. Even if we are suggesting it to be an exoskeletal cranium, the darkened area, whether 'eye' or not, seems anomolous to the surrounding mass, given the shadowing displayed in the photo.

It really looks more like a pile of rocks, no matter how interesting it might be for it to be otherwise.

We tend to see faces where none exist. Take the 'Face on Mars' structure at Cydonia, for instance. I believe it was Carl Sagan that pointed out, if you rotate the classic orbital photo 180 degrees and view the surrounding terrain, the representation of a nude woman's torso becomes visable.

Now, for a 'real' photographic mind bender, check out this pic, using these specifications to zoom in a bit:

Desired resolution: 1 pixel = 1 kilometer
Image size = 768x768
Latitude: -2
Longitude: 311

as humans we are pre disposed to see facial features in nature i do have a couple of examples but i'll have to trawl through my stuff to give an example........it would be damn cool if it was though!!!

ABSOLUTELY!!! It would seriously be cool. However, if NASA/CIA etc thought that there was "something" there, i can guarantee you they would have edited it out or done something with that picture. Sometimes we see what we want to see, which isn't always wrong, but again we may be so far off and it is just a few rocks that we are looking at.

I've heard from remote viewers that there are a lot of fossils on Mars. There's been quite a few people backing the claim, though I've had no way to see for myself.

Well I guess that's not entirely true - I seem to have these unexplained memories of moving around on an abandoned, cold, red, desert-like terrain, and I've talked to someone who has strikingly similar memories - nangel1298.deviantart.com... scroll down a little and you'll see where I commented.
These 'memories' could be entirely unrelated to Mars, of course, I just brought it up in case there's a connection.

Face on mars, mechanical bits on mars and now a skull. I do like evidence but to me all of these things are simply freak rock formations.

Just as someone else said it's like looking at clouds and seeing shapes.

i havent seen the pics of the "mechanical bits", have ya got a link

It's not the seeing shapes in rocks/clouds part that gets me. It's the symmetry of the hte holes in the rock. There's too much symetry to be just a rock. Either it's doctored or it an actual skull.

This has been discussed recently in this thread here...

The consensus was it's Predator.

Hey thats me who said it's predator in that thread , how strange I would come looking in here too and find you said this.

I'd really like to see those mechanical images too.

I just noticed this skull has a brow ridge above the eyes, and what seems like a cheek line. To have all this and be symmetrical is extremely unlikely for a rock. The erosion pattern of two eye-like holes a nose-distance apart and a brow line is simply unheard of, especially on Mars where surface rocks are all weathered by wind and not water.

So if we assume it's a skull, it's not a very human skull. Or rather, it's more human than human - the cranium is unusually wide. The eyes aren't as big as a Grey's, so we can count them out. Also there's a funny formation beneath the skull - I thought these were a few rocks at first, but they look symmetrical. I wouldn't know what to think about that.

woah that is a freaky picture!

If its a skull, then i cannot wait till the Russians get up a manned mars mission - They at least like telling the truth from time to time... and what better way than bring back some long gone fossils of mars humanoids....

Great find, cheers for sharing.

I will bet my last buck that the US DOD/CIA etc will have some finger in the pie as to what Russia give out in terms of information to the rest of the world. I don't believe for one minute that we will get any more or any less that we already know. They will just give us what they KNOW we know and then we will all just say "ah, but we already knew that" and then we will be back on ATS debating what a picture is or is not revealing to us and on and on we go. Just the way I feel!!

The one on the bottom left is most convincing. I wonder, if these are skulls, why no other bones are present? Normally scavengers and weather conditions are responsible for corpse scattering here on Earth. Dust storms could be the cause, perhaps?

Well the wind is very strong even at mars surface level, so it may have stripped away soil to reveal just the skull - OR - as mars may have had water on its surface in the near (Geological near) past, it may have been washed away from the rest of the bones to its resting place.

What ever the event, I sure as heck would volunteer for the first manned mars mission (With an ATS T-shirt & Flag) Interesting is an understatment!
