I just wanted to say hello - I found these boards a couple months ago and have been reading some of the forums. Earlier this spring I decided to write a science fiction novel, and I have done tons of research in the aim of lending some scientific accuracy to my work.

As per the subject matter of my novel, my main interest is in directed energy weapons and related technology.

Anyway (that's how I found this forum - Googling certain subjects, some of which have been posted here), having done so much research I've been totally blown away by much of what I've found. Now I'm continuing my research even though my novel is almost half finished because I keep finding more and more unusual things. It truly seems that fact is stranger than fiction.
