Neutralizing a nuclear weapon

I have always been interested in radioactivity and nuclear weapons. When I was younger and in college, I took a Physical Chemistry class (don't ask how I did )
in any case, they spoke about these little particles called neutrinos. Now don't ask me WHY I thought this, but I got it in my head that maybe neutrinos could "neutralize" nuclear weapons. It really was not presented to me or anything, so I have no idea why I thought that. It just sounded like a nifty idea. Well I googled it, and it seems to be pretty embraced...

The storage ring would have to be 1000 km across - hundreds of times larger than the biggest present day accelerators. Radioactive decay is hard to neutralize because you have to create a dampening effect. Where each energy "signature" is matched by an opposite, countering field.

On your theory though, if you could increase the density of these neutrinos to where they would absorb the energy released, that would certainly help in removing the harmful effects of the radiation.

WOW! this is 3 years old too, very interesting info and totally possible to build one too for USA any way thats pocket money, wonder if military has R&D these neutrino beams for a while they might even have nuclear powered portable versions, maybe even ones that can be bolted onto aircraft and fly over enemy territory and zap zap zap lots useless nukes.

Is it possible also that the UFO's seen deactivating nukes used this method? and maybe they were secret government craft with this technology on board testing the effect-fullness of the deactivation of nukes?

The US military uses DEW weapons, if I understand what you are talking about, for disruption. The original thread was about neutraliziing.
These DEW weapons are known to be in existence and essentially disrupt the harmonic balance of a material to create a structure failure. They are in reserve for total engagement right now, and wouldn't be employed for a limited event.

I highly doubt that could be made into something that actually works. Too many variables, too hard to reproduce.

Actually, it's similar to ultra-sound devices where a disruption can create a disturbance in things like tub of water. I've seen washing machines that clean clothes utilizing the harmonic imbalance created with ultra sound.
Sounds odd, but if you were to expand on this concept with another form of energy, the same principle applies.

Like the direct-fire lasers they use to cut metal in die making.
