WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States said on Wednesday that Iran's response to a package of incentives offered by world powers fell "far short" of what was demanded by a U.N. Security Council resolution.

sat here wondering just how long it will be till "dubya" decides he wants to go on tour again, he's been banging the drums of war for some time now and seems pretty intent on tackling iran in one way or another from what i've seen so far

You are very fast, I imagine a window open on the Alert news and one on ATS

Well I guess by now we all know that is no what the UN wants but what the Bush administration wants.

So is nothing that Iran will say or do to make Bush and friends happy, unless they surrender their country oil to the US.

Then perhaps some compromised will be reach.

Frankly I think the current administration would have said the same thing no matter what Iran's response was.

IMHO, as in Iraq, the decision to go to war has already been made, and the diplomatic moves are just for show. They are running out of time, they don't want to start the war before the 2006 elections, but definately before they get booted from power in 2008.
