www.youtube.com...

OK bear with me on this one. its only a few seconds at the end of this video, so hold out and see what you think.

at 56 seconds, a distinct, black triangular object enters the upper left corner, is lit at each point, and as it enters the field the tape is cut. (From nasa or poster i do not know).

Have a look and see what you think. But for me, the altitude, shape and speed are amazing if it is a manned earth craft.

(I used TR3-B because its the only supposed earth craft with that capability that I know of.)

Thanks for the cheers...

But I don't see anything in the upper left corner.

Here's a capture at 57 seconds. What am I missing?

There's a land feature in the middle left that is sort of "triangular", but I see nothing above it.

ok dude at 57 to 59 seconds just wait till it appears at the very very top left corner...it comes into view, triangle and black. watch the footage till the end, the rewind it. You'll see it plain as day. All three corners are brightly lit, and its fast. it appears as a bright or appears in the far right hand middle of the screen.

Ill screen grab and post it for you and others to see.

What puzzles me is that the video stops. Did NASA stop it or the poster? The poster? then fine, but if NASA....cover up!

img86.imageshack.us...

here you go. Its a cropped screen grab from the video in question, not filtered or altered at all, just cropped from the footage.

The direction of flight is left to right, and yet at that height and distance from the shuttle it must of been pretty hefty size.

Aahh, ok, but that object looks white to me. The "56-58" reference also threw me off, as that appears more like at 58 seconds.

Anyway, a later grab shows it is actually two objects flying close together. The low-res camera and close formation appears to have given the illusion of a triangle.

Here's the last frame I could grab, showing the two objects.
Keep your eye out, though.

have looked at it in photoshop (full colour invert and edge detection) and its one object lit at each corner.

I played around with contrast / hue / false colours / contours, and each one shows a single object.

What ever it is though its big and triangular. (My piccie is a great screen capture - have a look.)

Oh and yes, ever since those mad triangle piccies came out, i've been keeping a good eye out!

Certainly a thermal imaging camera wouldn't pick up space junk or micrometeorites entering the atmosphere below the Shuttle. No, of course not!

I have seen this footage before. I am a firm believer in extraterrestrials myself. But, come on. There are way too many sightings for it to be legit. I mean really. 10+ sightings in 60 seconds? No way.

OK firstly this is hardly "awesome" footage. I wouldnt even call it remarkable.

What you are labelling a TR3-B is just a blur and only briefly appears triangular. As a previous poster showed at one point it also looked like two objects. I also cant see how it is "clearly lit at all 3 corners".

The video footage is of such poor quality that no information or assumptions can be made from it. Also dark knight, the image you posted is a jpg so it has been altered and changed in the compression process. It is of even lower quality than the original blurry video.

gfad, where did I say awesome??? please, show me, because I really don't remember reading any place that i did.
Oh no, look, I didn't, so please don't infere that i did.

The word I used was 'possible'.

I apologise if you did not like the speculative nature of the post, but is that not what skunk works forum is for? Speculation? If its not I will ask it to be moved to where speculation is allowed.

As for the screen grab, well I will say freewares not the best stuff to use quality wise, so yes there is alot of scope for thought there.

But you miss the point of the post really. There was a POSSIBLE triangular object, and some one stopped filming. My speculation was that could it have been nasa for they know what that object is?

And yes, it could be two objects, because the sighting is brief and grainy....

Isn't speculation fun?

I think you'll find you DID use the word awesome when referring to the footage. Lets not get picky though.

If NASA were trying to hide the appearance of the "mysterious triangular craft" why didnt they just cut the feed a few second earlier and hide the actual appearance of it in the first place.

Even NASA arent that stupid to try and hide something by letting people hide it and then concealing it.

You again take it out of context - That was just to describe the 'capture' from the screen, not the actual craft or footage, so again do not try to make it seem like i have used words where i have not.

The 'awesome' described as I said my feelings towards the screen capture, NOT the footage.

Any how, I agree - lets not get itchy about it, after all, i do see your point about if nasa knew it was there or had the footage it may of cut it earlier so as not to show it.

Good valid point and one which I will bear in mind. Cheers.

You used the word awesome before you posted or even mentioned a screen grab.

Yup, you did...

Right here, actually.

I still maintain, that it's simply micrometeorites being picked up by the thermal imaging. Why? Because those create heat when entering the atmosphere and also would reflect sunlight. Secondly, because at that scale the objects would be the size of countries.

Then again, I may be the Space Exploration FSME for nothing...

Dude,
no one questioned your status as FSME so this was not called for.

"Then again, I may be the Space Exploration FSME for nothing... "

BUT, as you are FSME can you help me out on this idea? OK here goes.

The cameras from the shuttle. Do you know what type and focus / zoom capability they have at all?

My thoughts are this. The object is WAY slower than all of the micro meteorites flashing by, and way way further away seemingly as it is in focus.

Could there be a way to gauge a rough size of the object at all from just the cameras them selves??

Hey, and i still am hung on what it is. My main post ran on the 'why cut the tape' question.

PS.

Any one have the footage that this was captured from? or know where / who released it?

Good footage of "something" but there just isnt enough evidence or explanation of what we are even looking at to determine what that is. Being that it was taken with a termo cam that really could be anything. The interesting thing would be to see an official explnation of what it is.

All in all cool footage to watch, whatever it is.
