To all,

Currently there is an ATS sponsored game in place called "All the UFO Answers" and can be found at the following link:

All the UFO Answers

Gameplay is fairly straightforward and there are rules to explain how the game works. Basically, clues are given and you must use your knowledge (or your favorite search engine
) to type in the correct answer in the form of a URL which leads to the next clue. There are a total of 72 questions and we are currently on question 46. You can join anytime and anyone end everyone is welcome to play.

There are valuable intermediate prizes given that are pretty awesome. Have you seen the SUMO Lounge banners on the site. So far, there have been 4 SUMO's awarded.

The grand prize is ownership of the domain www.alltheufoanswers.com. A great value in itself!!! What's nice about this is it already has traffic and would be a nice domain for a UFO buff.

So, what does this have with Ancient Civilizations you ask? Our current clue says this:

"What are the Seeders known as?"
"seeders, Not Enki, Not Enlil...

Most of us have racked our brains these past 24 hours trying to figure this one out.

We've come to learn that it could be related to the origins of mankind, for example the Annunaki or any other race, extraterrestrial or not.

So, why not join us and share your knowledge, meet fellow ATS'ers and partake in a great game. Who knows you might win a valuable domain!!! Trust me, you'll be addicted.

Incidently, the clue for the current question was found right here in this forum.

A list of all previous questions and answers can be found here:

The Seeders were a group of Alies, which were meant to have gone around and planted genetic material on all planets. Some people have claimed they might be the Grey's.

Richard D. Butler speaks about them a bit.

See! I hate U.F.O's and even I know that.

We've tried every combo of greys, annunaki, serpent people, nephilim, etc, etc, etc we could think of.

Argh!

...but Simon is English, so surely it'd be Gray?

You also have other things, Creator, God, etc.

Just got another cryptic clue pointing us in the right direction.

seeders, no Enlil, no Enki...

no Enlil, no Enki,...

The next would most likely be Ea. Try that.

This may be even better. Hope it helps.

When the god Anu created heaven,
When the god Nudimmud (Ea) created the apsu-ocean, his dwelling,
The god Ea pinched off a piece of clay in the apsu ocean,
Created (the brick god) Kull for the restoration of [temples]
Created the reed marsh and the forest for the work of their construction,
Created the gods Ninildu, Ninsimug and Arazu to be the completers of their constructions,
Created mountains and oceans for everything
Created the deities…
Created men to be the makers

Nada.

The original question was phrased oddly, as well

"What are the Seeders known as?"

The "S" was bolded.

So we have:

What are the Seeders known as?

and

seeders, no Enlil, no Enki...

...pointing to the same word/phrase.

You also gotta remember its phrased with "are."

In english, if a question is asked like "What are they known as?"

The answer can be phrased as "They are known as..."

"The Seeders are known as..."

It will either be a plural form of something or begin with a "the" (as in "the annunaki."

Well, considering the clue points to Ea, I'm fairly certain you will find your answer in the Enuma Elish, the Babylonian creation epic. I would say the "seeders" are the gods, Ea namely.

Ea answered with carefully chosen words, completing the plan for the gods' comfort. He said to Marduk,

'Let one of the kindred be taken; only one need die for the new creation. Bring the gods together in the Great Assembly; there let the guilt die, so the rest may live.'

Marduk called the Great Gods to the Synod; he presided courteously, he gave instructions and all of them listened with grave attention.

The king speaks to the rebel gods,

'Declare on your oath if ever before you spoke the truth, who instigated rebellion? Who stirred up Tiamat? Who led the battle? Let the instigator of war be handed over; guilt and retribution are on him, and peace will be yours for ever.'

The great Gods answered the Lord of the Universe, the king and counselor of gods,
........... 'It was Kingu who instigated rebellion, he stirred up that sea of bitterness and led the battle for her.'

They declared him guilty, they bound and held him down in front of Ea, they cut his arteries and from his blood they created man; and Ea imposed his servitude.

When it was done, when Ea in his wisdom had created man and man's burden, this thing was past comprehension, this marvel of subtlety conceived by Marduk and executed by Nudimmud.

Then Marduk, as king, divided the gods: one host below and another above, three hundred above for the watchers of heaven, watchers of the law of Anu; five times sixty for earth, six hundred gods between earth and heaven

Some more food for thought. Enlil was a god of wind, Enki a god of water. That leaves fire and earth. Earth/seeders. Try that.

And here I am thinking only about the earth based. This contest is about aliens, right? How about you approach it like this: Ea seeded the earth with man, so look to the stars for Ea.

Ancient Sumerians believed these stars were associated with the god Ea, also called Oannnes, who brought culture and science from the sea to mankind. Ea or Enki, Oannes (god of the waters called Apsu, the Babylonian Abyss or the waters which surround and hold up the earth,- like the Greek’s idea of "Ocean," as in Space). Ea married the goddess Ninki or Damkina (Damgalnunna, also Ninkhursag) and their children were Marduk and Nanshe. Ea was depicted as a goat with a fish’s tail (The zodiac image of Capricornus) or in human form with water gushing from his shoulders or from a vase he carried (The zodiac image of Aquarius). Ea, of the "House of the water," god of sweet waters and wisdom, with his divine word was creator of mankind from clay with the help of the Sumerian goddess Aruru (see the Akkadian version of the Epic of Gilgamesh and the wild man Enkidu). Ea was also patron of all arts, and the chief god of the Mesopotamian city of Eridu. In ancient times the year began with the entrance of the Sun into the constellation of Aries, March 21, and ended in February, the name "Anno" (Medieval Latin : anno, in the year) was given in honor of Oannes, identified with Janus (Roman god of gates and doorways, depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions or past wisdom and future knowledge), who taught the Chaldeans science and the arts and warned them of the Flood. In Palestine Oannes (a Mesopotamian god of wisdom, part man and part fish) was under the name Dagon.

Maybe that will help.

You could also try something simple. Anu was the lord of the gods, his wife the mother. Try "The Seeders were known as mother and father", or Anu and Amtu" (later his wife became Ishtar). Then there is this piece from the very first piece of the first tablet in the Enuma Elish, which seems more likely:

When in the height heaven was not named,
And the earth beneath did not yet bear a name,
And the primeval Apsu, who begat them,
And chaos, Tiamut, the mother of them both

Their waters were mingled together,
And no field was formed, no marsh was to be seen;
When of the gods none had been called into being,
And none bore a name, and no destinies were ordained;
Then were created the gods in the midst of heaven

Try "The Seeders were known as Apsu and Tiamut"

The fifth tablet discusses the creation of the stars after Tiamut was slain. This was done by Marduk. I wont post the whole thing, but you can find it here:Tablet Five-Creation of the Stars

Alright, I believe I'm done now. Good luck with your contest.
