Workers at a construction site have been hospitalized after
being exposed to a virus. Employees are being quarantined
at the Fairbanks hospital to prevent spreading of this unusual
sickness. The site has been sealed off preventing physical
access.
Today's newspaper in Anchorage is the first public disclosure
of this event which occured on 29 & 30 June. Within two days
all employees of this site have been detained. Even those
who showed no signs of exposure.

This is not the first time a clay substrate has been able to
to contain ancient bacteria only to be released when disturbed.
It is clear that they dug up more than what they were looking
for ....

reminds me of the theories that the mummy's curses are just some ancient viruses that got released onto the archeologists when they started digging.

It is possible that they unearthed hazardous waste. My dad was a civilian engineer in the Navy and in the 70's it was standard practice for a contractor to say cap a sewer line and fill it with toxic gunk. Of course they are out of business now and it costs the taxpayers plenty to clean up.

The symptoms seem consistent with a chemical exposure to be honest.
