How long will cease-fire Last?

I don't want to be pessimistic- I would like nothing more than to see the cessation of violence in the Middle-East-and indeed, around the globe. However, I think that the situation between Israel and Hezbollah is very unstable. I want to know how long you, the thread reader passing by, thinks the cease-fire will last. The cease-fire took effect four hours and fourty-eight minutes ago ( 1 am EST ). Or do you think that it will hold until UN peace- keeping forces take up their positions? I hope the cease-fire lasts, but my cynical side thinks that it will be broken within 72 hrs. I hope that I'm proven wrong. What do the rest of you think?

Well the last few months have proven how something small can result into something gigantic, one Hezbollah militant can now just take things for himself, attack an Israeli soldier and all hell breaks loose yet again, there wont be another round of talks and both sides will move in for the permanent kill.

I think this cease fire will be short lived, but who knows, it might just actually go on peacefully...

i agree too, , it takes just 1 person who wants justice, that will knock the stuffing out of any peace keeping resolutions.

I'm happy to have been wrong in my prediction. Let's hope that the peace lasts. I'm surprised at how quickly people came back to southern Lebanon. I would have stayed away much longer, if I ever returned at all. I'm still cynical about total peace permanently lasting, to be honest.

Funny thing is when all the people returned to S Lebanon, so did more Hezbo fighters and supplies.
