Oblivion is a good game, but it should be played on the PC rather than the 360. There's nothing quite like making your own mods/npcs/levels and sharing them with others.

DJ, the mods are nice, but I believe the game, when played, is infact superior on the 360.

Your walking around in a world, infront of abig television instead of hunched over a keyboard. Your stereo system is booming with the awesome music as you walk through patches of woodland areas covered in deer, emerging to a river, reflecting the many trees and mountains in the skyline. Your friends and family are watching, in amazement on how beautiful the game is.

Its a shame you cant modify the game on the 360, but ofcourse, any mods arent really the game, theyre mods. To break it down to just core gameplay, not potential third party add ons, Whats better? I say on the 360.

I have put hours into Oblivion on 360 and from that my opinion is this. The game lacks depth. It has poor variation in weapons and armor. Also everything starts to look the same by level 20ish. I mean every cave is basically a cut and paste of the next. Other than that I do enjoy the freedom of the game. I did like elder scrolls 3 better though. Especially when you account for all the glitches in the game.

Wolf, the same can be done with the PC. My friend has his system connected to a LCD projector, and a surround sound system. You can imagine how much energy is in the room, when we're doing 4 player Halo 2.

I have to disagree there. It's the ability to mod the game that turned a great but buggy game into a fantastic one. Every single one of the gripes listed in this thread can be fixed with free third party mods, excepting of course the lack of MMOG. Not only can the bugs and complaints be fixed, the game can be enhanced to suit every different player's personal preferences. Missions can be added/expanded, items and spells added, difficulty and levelling tweaked. I've got three different games/characters running with and all with different mod sets active for a different experience in each.

The cloned dungeons/caves do get a little repetitive after a while, but you can add incentives like ore mining and loot tweaks. But in the end, a game like Oblivion that can provide 300 hours plus of entertainment with the level of immersion the game gives is 10 times as good as the average game on the market.

9.5/10 for Oblivion from me.

No Offense WoW but you should see some of us PC gamers that take our PC's seriosely. ^-^ Most PC games come with DDSS now-a-days and it sounds just as nice. Plus you can get pretty big LCD screens
Dont think that those over the counter PC's are what everyone uses, or the over rated, over priced Alienwares. But Oblivion looks awesome. Im not saying that consols arent nice because they have their perks. ^-^ My opinion of course.

If the people that charge you for Xbox live find out people are doing that, won't they end up just not giving people a free month or two? (I don't know how long)

Its actually only 50. and thats for the Gold membership. SO if you have no interest to play online, and just download trailers, videos, arcade games, etc, its free.

Or, you can trick it out like me, and make a free one month account every month, and have xbox live forever, for free

Buggiest game I've ever played. And the graphics? Blurry from 2 metres away.

Gameplay was wrecked by terrible level scaling, meaning you could finish the game at level 1. Morrowind was much better.

^, that's all my opinion.

My PC is connected to a big HDTV with a really good theatre sytem, with a Geforce 8 putting out far superior graphics than the Xbox360.... Oh, on Xbox the game dosn't reflect trees. On PC I have modded mine so it reflects EVERYTHING.

Then on the 360 I have like 10 buttons to press. Far more precise with a mouse
