Google Video converter

Does anyone know a free utility you can use to convert the google video's to
mpg or avi?

The extension of Google videos is GVI.

As far as Im aware, all of google videos files are AVI files. Do you mean how do you actually download the full video files and save them on your hard disk?

I would like to know how to go about making them into a playable DVD. So i can watch them on my home TV, any ideas?

PS: as for watching on a dvd player-not in a computer- look to see what formats are support and convert to one of them.
Often most support MP2/MP4/....

Pickles-u2u me your supported list of formats or at least the exact brand and model player you have.
I will give specific directions from there.

I use this firefox extension to allow me to download videos from google video and you tube as well as most of the others. It gives you the option to download the file in AVI or MP4

Your plugin is better tan my program (the one I linked to-not made) if for only one reason, it is NOT limited to Windows operating systems.

For those who do have windows, my suggested program is better.
You can make batch conversions and convert many forms to many other forms.

(just found it) allows you to paste the URL to the video webpage and
downloads it for you:

Its not limited to youtube, it works for google too and a dozen other vid sites.

I still think that SUPER is better.

I has to be downloaded and installed, but it can convert all types that I know and many that I do not know, and it is freeware.
