Random holes in the ground, anybody?

How weird would this be? Huge inter-connected tunnel systems that just appear in the ground for no real reason. If pranksters managed to do that I'll eat my toes.

Residents of Novoselovo district in the Krasnoyarsk region have come across a mysterious phenomenon in the field. They discovered several tunnels of unknown origin in an area located some 100 meters away from the highway connecting the cities of Krasnoyarsk and Abakan , in the vicinity of the village of Kurgany, Siberian News Agency reports.

As if you wouldn't go through them!! And that cave like hollow place sounds pretty interesting.

Any thoughts?

I would be curious if any of the listening devices that are set to detect digging would pick up any "strange" audio phenomenon.
