Jerome Clark, in his book "The UFO Book" has a case where some guys on a hunting trip, one who was in the air force at the Minot base, the others
various professionals, spotted a UFO and had a strange encounter with an individual dressed in white coveralls.
Basically, the guys saw a strange craft go down over a hill. They drove through the mud, thinking it was a plane crash, to see if they could find it
and give aid. When they neared the site, they saw a figure in white coveralls who waved them away. They went back to town to get a sherrif to come out
and take a look.
When they went back out to the site, they saw some lights that looked like tailights. but when they approached the lights, they vanished. it was a
muddy field, but no tracks were visible on the ground. The sherrif went back to town.
Eventually they encountered the strange craft again, with the figures in white coveralls, and one of the guys on the hunting trip, for some reason,
shot at one of the white figures and hit it in the shouder. The guy in the white coveralls yelled, "hey, what did you do that for", so it was
believed for obvious reasons that the figures were indeed human, although quite short.
The four hunters also reported missing time. They arrived home much later than they thought they should have, and their wives were quite worried. They
lost a couple of hours that they could not account for.
The next morning the guys were visited by some dudes from the air force, who asked him what clothes they were wearing, and saying they recieved a
report of the incident, but wouldnt say much beyond that.
This testimony was given by a guy who was an agent in the ATF and was once NICAP's North dakota chapter head. He is considered extremely reliable and
credible.
Another thing of interest:
The air force guy who was with the hunting party left the air force, then re-entered it again. His job was photo-reconiisance. He once held a security
clearance. But when he re-entered the air force, he discovered they would not give him any security clearance whatsover, and would not tell him why.
He wrote his congressman, and the congressman inquired as to why, the the response was that the guy was unstable and unreliable, even though this
wasnt true, and they gave no reasons for it.
I have no link, but you can find the whole story in the book I mentioned, where I learned it from.
