A prostitute?! That's very funny!

Below is an article in New Scientist magazine. Overall it's a fluff piece on how NASA and SETI would disclose to the world if they found evidence of life on Mars. I suppose do something coordinated instead of letting conspiracy theorists demonstrate the evidence first.

Anyway, there is a reference to the mistakes of the Clinton announcement that a meteorite contained evidence of life on mars debacle back in the 90s. What's really funny is how the news first leaked out to the press:

"In 1996, news of possible signs of life in a Martian meteorite called ALH84001 leaked out ahead of a press conference that had been scheduled by NASA. This was partly because a high-ranking White House official told a prostitute about the meteorite."

I read this a few days ago and thought how funny it was that someone from the White House told a prostitute somthing like this!

Maybe its a good way to get info out of the goverment. Anyone up for a challenge?
