DVDs playable on CD players?

I am wondering if you can take a DVD concert and play it for the audio on a normal CD player?
There's a concert I want to buy and want to be able to hear it in my car as well. And, the CD review, which was released some time ago, sound inferior in quality.

I know it's kind of a dumb question, but I don't want to try it until I know if it safe.

It's not possible.
The only way I think you could do it, is by recording the audio output of a DVD player, onto CD.
