Nobody has benefitted more from terrorism than the US, the UK, and Israel. They use terrorism as an excuse to change the law, giving more power to the authorities and withdrawing freedom from the people.

They use terrorism as an excuse to attack and conquer foreign lands. They want to control the world's resources. They exploit our fear to win support.

If terrorism and WMD are such a threat, what are the causes? Nobody provides more money to terrorist groups and rogue states than the US and the UK. Nobody has or sells more weapons than the US and UK.

Now for the facts:........

please follow this link for the rest of the quoted article
www.theinsider.org...

But this is western style 'democracy', you see. Billions of dollars are being spent on neutralizing terror outfits. But who's bothered by AIDS, the starving millions, health care and education?

Now can you see what is happening here? Or are you still afraid of the boogey-man?

P.S. Next time you leave your house, beware, because crossing the road is many hundreds of thousands of times more of a threat to your life than terrorism!

Wow I'm shocked. I mean just the US and the UK? Its almost like US and the UK were the only countries in existence on this world on the post you put on. Have you forgotten to add other countries who are victims of terrorist attacks? Have you forgotten to add other countries who are fighting these terrorist organizations? It seems you just only extended the timeline to only 6 years between 2000 and 2006.
How about extending the timeline to a couple of decades?

Thats BS. Terrorism has resulted in constant condemnation of israel by the UN, its inability to have normal relations with its neighbhors, and the deaths of many of its citizens. All three countries would be far far better off if there was no terror attacks against them.

They want to control the world's resources. They exploit our fear to win support.

Thats bogus. Israel has ceded land, like gaza, south lebanon, the sinai, etc, because of terrorism, and the US certainly isn't wealthier and more respected because of its iraq invasion.

Nobody provides more money to terrorist groups and rogue states than the US and the UK.

Prove it.

Nobody has or sells more weapons than the US and UK.

Hezbollah, Hamas, all those groups, they aren't using US made weapons.

0 People killed in the USA by terrorism/WMD in 2006.
[...]1.2 MILLION People in killed in road accidents EVERY YEAR.

Who killed more americans prior to wwii? Hitler or car accidents? Who was the greater threat?

2,500 Palestinian civillians killed "by accident" in Palestine by the Israeli army. Palestinian people whose homes have been demolished by Israeli bulldozers. Families who do not escape in time are crushed to death - often at night in their beds.

If they don't like it they can sue for peace.

Oh REALLY??!! Enlighten me and if you can, name one single UN resolution that stands in condemnation of Israel that hasn't been vetoed by the US seat on the Security Council. I will even give you a head start.

mikesingh you got the point. I think terrorism threat is definitely exagerrated these days.

There are several paradigms through which the level and nature of American intervention abroad can be viewed: isolationism, capitalism, multilateralism, militarism, nationalism, and determinism.

The result? Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan, the Middle East, with Iran, Syria and North Korea coming up and a host of other countries smarting under the imposition of the concept of western style democracy. They rebel because of this conflict of ideology.

And terrorism is born. The only method by which they can stand up to asymmetrical military power.

So, whom do we blame for where the world is heading?

The Six Most Feared, but Least Likely Causes of Death in the US:

Airplane crashes
Shark attacks
Being murdered
Falling to death
Terrorist attack
Natural disaster

Actual Leading Causes of Death

Tobacco
Poor diet and physical inactivity
Alcohol consumption
Microbial agents
Toxic agents
Motor vehicle crashes

But people REALLY don't like to hear that what they fear most... what drives their hatred for another country or what keeps them supporting their government is something they shouldn't even be afraid of. It's not something they wish to face. Even though it's the truth.

I know its weird how they focus that much on terror. I red somwhere theres a much death by lightning strike than terrorist casualty, where do we start the war on lightning, you probly say its crazy to say that but it is the same to start a war against terror.

i think the focus is primarily caused by a lack of an opposing super power for the USA to target.

terrorism is horrible, and causes plenty of destabilization in the middle east, so it's somethin to focus on

Yeah... for some reason I highly doubt that all the Shark deaths put together have caused as much damage to this country as those two towers falling. Maybe it just me but terrorism is about more than just death toll, its about overall impact, comparing it other mundane sources of death is like comparing apples and oranges.

I couldn't agree more and that's exactly the point. The DAMAGE that this country has endured because of that terrorist event is incredible! The repercussions, the fear, the motivations, the politics, the war, the death... Our response to it because it was a terrorist attack is outrageous compared to any other event that takes the same number of lives.

But instead of responding to it emotionally, if we had responded to it logically, the world would be a different place right now. It's our fear and our response to it... the impact it had on us that makes Osama so happy. It's what we did afterward that makes him smile every night when he goes to bed...

That's what I'm saying here. Let's at least entertain the logic of the situation instead of being so dramatic and emotional. Let's look at the facts.

Did we respond correctly? Do we really have to fear a terrorist attack? Shouldn't we cut down on Burger King instead?

Yeah, respond to it logically, let me see if I can sum up this past logic here. USMC Barracks bombing, left Lebanon. 93 twin towers attack, left "Al-Qaeda" largley intact, US embassy bombings, nothing, USS Cole, nothing. Man, that logical response sure seems to have paid off, those terrorists sure learned their lesson. Not. 9/11, removed Taliban from power, launched WOT, disrupted/killed/captured Al-Qaeda terrorists. So far no further attacks on US soil, hmmm…

I’m sure Bin Laden is very happy in whatever S hole he currently resides in. We did respond correctly and IMO it is having an effect on Al-Qaeda’s ability to strike the US mainland. Terrorism cannot be tolerated nor ignored, I think WE should have learned that by now.

I think you missed quite a few years of terrorist attacks against the US. Througout history there have been quite a few dating back to the end of WW2 with the Nazi Werewolves.

Significant Terrorist attacks against the US 1946-2001

Oh and against Americans abroad 2001-Present.

I couldnt agree more...who benefits from the threat of terrorism? Not terrorists!

Western Governments benefit; they get more power, more funding, more everything. Do western governments have an incentive to STOP the terrorism, when it empowers them and they get to wage war......or do they have an incentive to CAUSE MORE terrorism? Use your brains people.

Its funny, cuz western intelligence agencies found, fund, and control ALL terrorist organizations. Too bad the lying bought-and-paid-for media wont tell you about it....

The issue of actual numbers of death is irrelevant. War functions to address threats to the nation. The 911 attacks smashed the american public's pysche, it was intented to destroy the US economy and certainly caused it to crash. It inspired uprisings against US foreign policy. Terrorists are never going to be a proximate phsyical threat to the majority of americans.
Pearl Harbor killed a technically insiginifcant number of people, and yet we did something about it.
The WOT itself is more safe for its soldiers than being domestic civilian citizens, their death rate is actually lower, and yet people oppose the war. By strict accouting, those opposed to the war are trying to kill more people.

Thats why that type of accounting is meaningless.

The security council doesn't issue all statements for the UN.

You obviously have fully digested the official story that has been fed to you. Unfortunately its all lies, meant to cover the truth, and sway public opinion in support of desired policies. If you want freedom, better get in tune with the truth my brother.

You just answered your own question you had earlier about what terrorists gain from terrorism. Its a political motivation and movement. Terrorists have much to gaim from their acts, if they can influence just one group of people wether it be in or outside the governtment is a victory for them. All they have to do is change public opinion one group at a time and its a victory for them. Maybe you can start using your brain a little more.
