Iran: Bush is a Zionist; swift arrival destruction Israel

Tehran, Iran, Jul. 31 – The Supreme Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps described United States President George W. Bush as a “Zionist”.

“For the past four years, the United States and Britain have been busy killing Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan”, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Sunday. His remarks were reported by the state-run news agency ISNA.

“Should the U.S. President, the British Prime Minister, and the Israeli President not be prosecuted for war crimes? Are the U.S., Britain, and Israel not the biggest state-sponsors of international terrorism? Are they not the real Axis of Evil?” he said.

He called for the swift arrival of the day of the “destruction” of Israel.

“The U.S. is under the influence and penetration of Israel. It is not inconceivable that Bush is also a Zionist”, Safavi said.

“We ask God for the fervour of Muslims to come to a climax and the heads of states dependent on the Zionists and the U.S. to be destroyed”, he added.

I have mixed feelings when I read this. On one side Iran also claimed months ago the destruction of Israel would be nearby [a la North Korea style], but on the other side I wouldn't be surprised to see something happening.

Yeah I know. It all depends on which lens you are viewing the world with. Every side claims and believe they are the "good guys" in every war, but in the end, it really doesn't matter. Its the people who pay the price.

They are going to bomb Israel with nuclear or massive conventional weapons and the whole thing is going to blow up into global thermonuclear war. Bush is certainly a zionist, a christian zionist, he thinks he talks to God and he supports Israel no matter what because he thinks what israel does is orchestrated by God and this would pave the way for the 2nd comming of jesus. Exactly what Zionist jews would like you to believe.

The current Iranian president is on record saying he thinks some Imam is going to climb out of a well and be the savior for the Muslims, but only after he himself kills like half the people on the Earth...So I don't think you can criticize Bush for his religion!

I'm not worried about Iranian nukes yet, certainly not Syrian ones.
Unless soneome in Pakistan sold them some complete, I don't think they have any.

Chemical weapons on the other hand, Iran and Syria both have in quantity.
But I doubt they'll use them against Israel, knowing the Israelis can and almost certainly would use nukes on both in response.

Hmmm. This fellow I don't what to think, but I refuse to say that it may not be represetative of the opinions of a great many in the M-E. I ran across a Reuters video clip today... "Journalists Under Fire" or something like that and an interview with a non-Israeli father and daughter at a hospital that hadn't been whacked yet.

He seems to reflect the same or similar sentiments as the quoted speaker if not in as inflammatory jargon - quite moving actually, he's got the nothing left to lose look. There was another clip of a young father who lost most of his family (I can't remember the clip title but it's there) and had not been a Hezbollah, well he is now. He's got the nothing left to lose look too. I think the "Arab Street" will follow suit and perhaps others with similar feelings of emnity.

Israel seems to be able to recruit for Hezbollah pretty efficiently for a nation interested in "sustainable security" I won't post the link cuz... well, you know why.
