Is it just me or does it seem that israel is targeting civillians they really havent hit the hezbollah the just target building with civillins that the hezbollah "used" not using. Most likely the hezbollah was there for a day and moved on and, whats to say that the israels are going to target other cities that the hezbollah have been in. Mabye the israel will hit a post or 2 of hezbollah in lebanon but lebanon see that US not helping them they now by geting the israel to stop all together and say the US is working with israel. That is not far off we do have frendship with israel not to mention we have 2000 troops near the cost of lebanon. That makes the lebanon people afraid that we may start an attack on them as well. If we do i'll bet there will be more people unhappy about our involvement in the middleast. How far this war will go if the israel keep up there way of trying to deal with hezbollah by bombing every city they've been in. They might as well start world war three because they also warned Iran and Syria. Also Iran is suspected to have nuclear wepons mabye this will become our first nuclear war. If israel was to attack then isreal gets nuked(if iran realy has nukes) then the UN gets involed causing the US and other superpowers to get involved as well. It will be a mess and to rap it all up we have a man more dangerus than bin laden, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi he has been given a reward of capture dead or alive the same as bin ladin 25million in US dollors. Zarqawi is beleived to have dirty bombs and he is also belived to be the leader of the iraq resistance.if you have more iformation to add or your oppinon please post comments.

Read this article and you'll see why there are 'civilian' causlities.

www.news.com.au...

If there didn't use human shields or fight from civilian areas the the civilain infastructure and innocent people would not be blown up.

Well, if Israel keeps up its air assault against urban areas, doesn't it make sense to try and protect those areas with AA guns? That's what the picture shows.

Do you honestly believe that Hezbolla is normally not located in civilian areas?

If you read the article the picture was taken prior to hositilies.

talk about warped reality......

Ok there was one example in that News article where they were shooting in a civilian area and they bombed it and got the rocket. What about the other areas they just bomb because they THINK its harboring terrorists. Those pictures prove nothing. You are going to see a LOT of civilians joining their ranks now, probably just walking up to them and grabbing a weapon to protect Lebanon. I would do the same thing If the USA were being invaded by hostile forces. Or do I need to have a uniform to do that? If I was outnumbered and outgunned would I want to stand out so the enemy could just pick me off? No. Good luck to you if you ever are in that situation, might as well paint a bullseye on your butt and run around screaming "Oh crap were gonna die!"
They could have easily avoided this and took the UN's advice and made a cease fire the very first day if they were concerned with their citizens and the welfare of others. They chose not to and thought they could punish the entire Lebanese population. They still haven't gotten back the first guy they kidnapped in Gaza and they just keep killing people....they could care less about the kidnapping, its killing off the people that they are interested in. Hmmm:

The images, obtained exclusively by the Sunday Herald Sun, show Hezbollah using high-density residential areas as launch pads for rockets and heavy-calibre weapons.

LOL

I see some Hizb'Allah fighters on a MOBILE truck.

Can't see anything firing. or being launched.

This shows a mobile truck with some fighters posing.

I especially like this comment:

Another depicts the remnants of a Hezbollah Katyusha rocket in the middle of a residential block blown up in an Israeli air attack

Um, sorry mate - no image of a building with a rocket in the middle of it either.

This sort of story really doesn't surprise me with the Herald Sun.

What about showing some rockets being launched from residential areas?

Real proof?

Cheers

From what I know of Hezbollah's military wing, they are extremely secretive and avoid contact with civilians whenever possible - not out of humanitarianism, but out of fear of collaborators.

Article "Guns in the Closet" and accompanying Video by Kevin Sites seem to speak contrary to some of the above claims.

Also Jan Egelans’s comments from the UN:

“Consistently, from the Hezbollah heartland, my message was that Hezbollah must stop this cowardly blending ... among women and children. I heard they were proud because they lost very few fighters and that it was the civilians bearing the brunt of this. I don't think anyone should be proud of having many more children and women dead than armed men….We need a cessation of hostilities because this is a war where civilians are paying the price,"

There are also videos starting to come out fairly regulary about Hezbollah’s tactics (a couple are linked below) and some Lebanese sites that discuss this topic, some first hand.

Kafr Qana
Hezbollah Uses Human Shields
Various IDF nose cam shots (end of video shows set-ups on top of structures).

There are more if you search...

Thanks for that.

let me respond:

guns in the closet

From "guns in the closet", the Hizb'Allah fighter states the following:

"...But the larger weaponry is kept somewhere else. Not in the houses, he says later, but in secret places."

There you have it. These are guns being displayed, not rocket launchers.

Kafr Qana

The first part of the film shows a rocket launcher being used on the outskirts of a town with lots of trees around it - certainly not within a residential area.

The second part shows (cannot see but I assume they are) rocket launchers being hidden in garages of large buildings. What the buildings are I do not know.

Still, this doesn't show they are being fired from within a residential area, however I do note the following:

a) The shouldn't be hiding these rocket launchers in these buildings (whether residential or commercial I cannot see)
b) Why weren't they taken out when they were on the outskirts of the residential areas?

The third part of the filem shows a rocket launchers claiming to be fired from a "residential area", however all I can see are trees everywhere - not houses or buildings.

Hezbollah Uses Human Shields

This one is completely laughable as the rocket launcher could be one kilometre away from the building.

It still does not show rocket launchers being used within a residential area.

Various IDF nose cam shots

Well, yes I can see targets being hit - fuel tanks, roads, buildings and other targets out in the open.

There are even some shots of things that could be telescopes, radar (as it is offset) or whatever.

Still can't see rocket launchers being fired from within civilian areas.

---------------

The question still remains:

Where are the rocket launchers that are being fired from within civilian places?

Cheers
