I just heard on a news flash on a local TV station (channel 9) that Israel has broken there 24/48 cease fire.

I really hope this is not true.

From what I read and was said on the news, it was only a few cities and IDF made it very clear if Hezbollah terrorists fire rockets from a city with a ceasefire, the ceasefire is ended.

Since -no surprise, Hezbollah broke the ceasefire- and fired rockets into Israel; Israel went back to targeting the terrorists-who clearly care nothing of what they are bringing on the civilians-damn animals!

a link proving the terrorits broke the ceasefire.

It wasnt a "cease - fire" per se because only Israel agreed to it. They announced that they would suspend air raids for 24-48 hours. I was hoping that Hezbolla would follow in suit and agree to stop if they saw that Israel had stopped air raids. However, This morning Hezbolla started firing rockets at Israel again....

Here is a link:

SKY NEWS:

Israel has been carrying out air strikes in southern Lebanon, despite agreeing to suspend such attacks for 48 hours following the deaths of more than 50 people, half of them children, in a bombing raid.

The Israelis said the use of aircraft in the Taibe area was to support ground troops fighting Hizbollah militants.

I guess this means all out war now ?:

The Israeli Defence Minister Amir Peretz said ground operations against Hizbollah would be stepped up.

He discounted an immediate ceasefire, claiming it would play into Hizbollah's hands.

"We must not agree to a ceasefire that would be implemented immediately. Only whoever manages to neutralise terror can bring peace," he told MPs

I guess it does.

I was before this wouldn't you say? Sure looked like it to me.

Israel gave a ceasefire but Hezbollah kept shooting anyways. Of course Israel will
fire back to destroy those shooting at them. They aren't just going to sit there
and get pistol whipped and smile about it.

This is completely untrue. Israel stepped up its ground invasion throughout the 'cease-fire.' Hez'bollah Rockets were only fired in response to Israeli Air strikes that were carried out to support the ground movement. It wasn't a total cease-fire, anyway, it was just a let up in the Air Campaign. Israel continued hostilities throughout the given period, and then broke it's Air Campaign cease-fire by utilising Air Strikes to support its ground offensive. See the link I posted above.

Thanks.

Israel said from the begining that they would be suspending thier offensive air strikes not its defensive ones so they have not broken what they said. And like I said before you cannot even call it a cease fire because Hezbolla never agreed to anything in the first place and never let up on its rocket launching into Israel.

How the hell are they defensive Air Strikes if they are called in to support troops in a Foreign country? Like I've already said, there is no mention whatsoever of these Air Strikes being retaliation attacks for Hez'bollah rockets. It has been repeatedly stated that they were to support ground troops invading Lebanon. White is not black. Offence is not defence. You will not convice me otherwise, I'm afraid.

I will advise you as I advised Flyersfan, please read the news link I posted.

Man Israel needs to tell the world to kiss there ass as they bust theirs. I am absolutly impressed by Israels response to aggresion, always have been. Too bad the other Arab nations are too affraid to attack so, Israel can spank them too!
This is a War of cultures, lets get it over with.

I'm apt to be distrutful of any "state" that engages in the murders of innocent humans... ceasefire? That might mean they'll stop shooting till the civilian populace "comes out" in plain view... and presto airstrike! Unilateral ceasefire my butt.

I'm on my way to deliver a significant cheque to the Lebanese-Canadian Association's disater relief fund. Then back to work to terminate all accounts having Israeli addresses and pop next door to chat with my federal Member of Parliament about his future or lack thereof in the 'hood.

I'm beginning to think Iran and Syria should become involved militarily - if they have missiles - not homemade K's (SS-20's or better), launch them at the heart of Tel Aviv and that nuclear weapons holding facility at Dimona and make the demons moan like children dying in the rubble.

Perhaps if Israel gets a taste of the world of hurt they can expect long term maybe they won't pull another of these "ceasefire Oops - just kidding" shenanigans and start to seriously negotiate - for peace - not merely holding the entire nation of Lebanon as terror hostages.

Israel sources at Haaretz are talking about another two weeks of killing so they'll be secure - oh yeah that'll win friends and influence public opinion. Maybe instead of Israel shootin' themselves in the "foot" they may move that target a little higher - to the "temple". I'd ike to see the schmutta's given an OD of their own medicine. Then, off to the Hague with their surviving "leaders".

Reading this was so refreshing amid so much ignorance and utter stupidity.

I too am giving money, mainly to my own family but also will try make a significant donation to a neutral relief fund.

I just can't help but lean more and more towards wishing Syria and/or Iran would get involved also ... and that ain't good. But neither is what Israel is doing to Lebanon.

God bless you Victor

I just saw Olmert's live speech a few minutes ago.

No cease-fire!

Israel will continue as it pleases, and nobody can stop them, politically. How much more will Iran allow? Are they waiting for something?
