I notice the cease-fire on airstrikes didnt last long. Israel launched airstrikes just hours after officially agreeing to halt them. Is Tel Aviv actually in control of its armed forces? If there was a rogue element in control of the armed forces it would explain a lot actually.

JERUSALEM - Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes in southern Lebanon on Monday, hours after agreeing to temporarily halt raids while investigating a bombing that killed nearly 60 Lebanese civilians, mostly women and children seeking shelter. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert agreed to a 48-hour halt in the airstrikes beginning at 2 a.m. Monday while the military concludes its inquiry into the attack on the south Lebanese village of Qana.

Don't try that one. Come on, you know Tel Aviv is in control of its armed forces.

Well some one in Tel Aviv might be in control but the Knesset sure isnt.

I see. So we can blame this whole thing on a rogue Military faction who somehow seized control, and started carrying out atrocities, right?

Either that or Ehud Olmert has broken a second direct and official promise during this Lebanese conflagration. The first being his explicit promise to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan that the UN troops in Lebanon would be safe.

Im not married to my hypothesis that Olmert is not directly in control of his military. If you had any idea of my previous posts you'd know that im the last person who would try to excuse Israel of its actions.

I am well aware of your previous postings, but I just caught you trying to excuse Israels actions. You're obviously not the last person who would do such a thing, because you're doing it right here on this very page.

It was posed in the form of a question after I had explicitly said that:

Israel launched airstrikes just hours after officially agreeing to halt them.

No reservation or excuse there.

If you're looking for a false flag Zionist operative you're looking in the wrong place dude.

I do not think that you are a Zionist operative, Subz, but I found your hypothesis disturbing. Consciously or not, it seemed to me like you were having difficulty accepting the fact that Olmert is complete Scum. How on earth would it 'explain a lot, actually' if a rogue group had seized control of Israel’s Military? It would explain nothing. They're not a rogue group, they're Zionists, and they own the place. You know the deal. Don't let all this media crap sidetrack you.

Far from it thomsonite, I was just being open minded to who might be pulling the strings in Israel. I believe Bush is a puppet of an elite cabal so why couldnt Olmert be just the same?

PM Olmert and the his Defence Minister Peretz are the first Israelis to hold those positions and not have been veterans. Therefore it would not be without precedent to speculate that the Israeli military could ignore their authourity. I read an article a couple of days ago on Peretz and how he is struggling to keep the confidence of the IDF purely because they perceive him an 'outsider'.

But as far as the facts are on the ground, it matters little if Israel is being led by PM Olmert and the Knesset or a rogue military/industrialist cabal. It still remains that Israel is responsible for dozens more war crimes in the last few weeks. An addendum to an already prolific list of war crimes and gross human rights abuses.

Digging into the above a little further, as I tend to do for my own amusement. I noticed a stark contradiction with regards to information on Amir Peretz in his Wiki.

As Defense Minister, Peretz has shown himself to be more hawkish than previously thought. Probably, this is because he, along with the Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, are eager to prove that they are "tough on terror", given that neither of them has any military record.
en.wikipedia.org...

Which is what I was aware of and had heard numerous times. But...

[Peretz] served in the Israel Defense Forces as a matériel officer in the 202nd paratroopers brigade and reached the rank of captain. During the Yom Kippur War in 1973, Peretz was badly wounded at Mitla Pass. He spent a year in the hospital recuperating. After leaving the hospital, he bought a farm in the village of Nir Akiva. Still in a wheelchair, he began growing vegetables and flowers for export.

A Captain in the IDF and badly wounded during the Yom Kippur War? That's hardly a complete lack of "military record". Who sowed the seeds of doubt in Peretz's background? Did Peretz do it himself to secure the leadership of the traditionally dovish Labour party? Very interesting indeed.

Im getting a gut feeling that Peretz is a hawkish Trojan Horse.

Where have I said anywhere that he is not? Of course he's a Rat-Bastard Puppet on a string, just like most of the others.

That's what I was getting at in the first place, what authority is there to ignore? Olmert seems to give his full backing to these actions, and they all just spin a load of turd like we have seen here today with the Pro-War Fiends trying to blame Hez'bollah for breaking the 'cease-fire,' to cloak their evil deeds.

Indeed, indeed. Although I would say it does still matter who Olmert is, and what aims the Zionists attend to achieve with all this. You know as well as I do this isn't going to stop here, and nobody can pull Israel up on their atrocious mass-murder.

Isreal once again has failed to keep its promise of a cease fire. I guess the 55 women and children really posed a huge threat to them and felt it merited and attack. I wish the US would pull all support from them and see if they still keep up there bullying nature. I personally wish we would find a new fuel alternative and watch the entire middle east crumble. Maybe if there oil becomes worthless the fighting would cease. Just my opinion

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. More killing innocents. More deception. Bah! Did you know that a "breakfast buddy" of the current Israeli PM is now Canada's UN delegate - slid in under the radar jus' like Bolton. Guy's name is Mcnee. He has some other interesting associates too.

It'll make the news sometime this cycle. He was installed July 1st 2006 while Canada was celebrating "Canada Day". Seems my nation has drank the "kool-Aid" too. No more even-handed Canadian diplomatic treatment of the M-E.

I knew the so called 24 or 48 hour truce between Israel and Hezbulla wouldnt last, both of them are hell bent on destroying each other and they do not care, if innocent civillians are caught up in this, and they do not care what the world community thinks.... So much for Diplomacy haha what a JOKE.........
