It doesn't seem this conflict will end very soon, for the mere reason that Hezbollah cannot be defeated by the Israeli army, the Israeli army is only capable of killing hundreds of civilians and every now and then a Hezbollah strider.

First Israel thought to show its power and crush Hezbollah within days, then it became weeks... when will the time come that they announce they have no clue on the time frame anymore? In contrast, Hezbollah is not going to surrender, they'll fight till the bitter end, while Iranian volunteers are heading for the battle field. I think we might conclude the end of this war is far away, rather sooner than later we will hear more than a thousands people died.

The US seems to support the entire operation and thus is indirectly as responsible as Israel. The entire world literally cries to stop this war, but the US, the only country able to influence Israel, doesn't hear the world, which allows Israel to do what they like. Meanwhile, Arab countries that up till lately supported Israel, also pronounced their condemnations against the Israeli brutality, which could give access to other Arab countries to start meddling with the conflict.

Since a Western intervention force seems far away, it would in my opinion, be very possible an Arab country will start officially supporting Hezbollah/Lebanon with its fight against Israel, as the situation gets worse and worse, and heading for an out-of-control status.

And finally, what are the Iranian plans in this conflict. Why would they have secretly carried away te bodies of the Revolutionary guards? Do they want to avoid a conflict with Israel? What are your ideas on this?

The Sun

From NICK PARKER
in Tyre, south Lebanon

IRAN’S involvement in the Middle East crisis emerged last night after four of its soldiers were killed fighting Israel in Lebanon.

The elite Revolutionary Guards’ bodies were ferried in secret from the frontline.

It was damning evidence Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is deeply involved in pulling the strings in Hezbollah’s war with Israel.

A Lebanese security source said: “It’s the clearest indication yet that Iran is fighting a proxy war against Israel. As any hard evidence of it happening would be potentially explosive for the whole region, it’s no wonder such care is being taken to ship out the Iranian dead in secret.”

Israeli and Egyptian security officials later confirmed reports the four dead had been transported to Syria, then flown to Iranian capital Tehran.

There are believed to be up to 100 Iranians fighting covertly alongside Hezbollah guerillas — with Iranian technicians helping fanatics fire rockets across the border.

Just days ago The Sun revealed teams of Iranian suicide bombers were heading into Lebanon’s war zone.

The New York Sun

BY AARON KLEIN - Special to the Sun

JERUSALEM — Tehran is using Hezbollah's confrontation with the Jewish state to test its weapons capabilities and to observe Israeli military tactics, Lebanon's Druze leader, Walid Jumblatt, said yesterday.

Mr. Jumblatt said he fears Syria will take advantage of the growing crisis in Lebanon to reassert its influence in the country and convince the international community that Syrian domination of Lebanon is crucial to the stability of the Middle East.

He warned Damascus might initiate a wave of terror in Lebanon following Israel's military campaign there to destabilize the country further, perhaps by assassinating the Lebanese prime minister.

well, we all know hezbolla terrorists are nothing but lapdogs to their Iranian master-as I have said all along.

We all know Iran provides $$$$$$$$$/arms/training and even Iranian troops to help use the weapons.

Clearly this was all done by Iran to start a regional war-which it wants so badly.

Good to know, but do you mean The Sun or the NY Sun?

Anyway, whether those sources are reliable or not I am very curious if, and what plans Iran has.

Speak for yourself.

The US provides the bombs which kill all the innocent civilians and one or two Hezbollah liberation fighters, does this make you and the Bush administration terrorists?

Well, we all know Israeli state terrorists are nothing but lapdogs to their dogma-master/legacy short-fallings as many have said all along and more are coming to this sad realization.

We all know Israel provides finance/ordnance/training and even troops to help use the weapons against the innocent.

Clearly this was all done by Israel to start a regional war-which it wants so badly.
