"It is time to say to those that don't want a different kind of Middle East that we will prevail. They will not," she said.

In her speech with the Israeli prime minister, Rice says the above. Now what the hell? Who said the American people even care about a new Middle East? We will be there forever! The Middle East has been in turmoil for hundreds-thousands of years. Does th Bush Administration think that they can just go in, and say "we are making a new Middle East, and those who don't agree we will kill" ????

Seriously, this must be for securing resources. And controlling China's resources to quench its growth somewhat, or something! At least that would make logical sense...but a crusade? No thank you, the American people do not want it!!!!!!!!!

What the American, or British. people want is entirely irrelevent. Our leaders answer to big paymasters, not the populations of the countries that they supposedly represent.
The general public are merely pawns to be expended as necessary in their political power plays and to finance the next conquest.

And people think everyone is making conspiracy theories. Why would they consult with Israel in regards to a "New Middle East"? Is the Middle East already considered US and Israeli property?

The US would benefit from a "New Middle East" aka pro-West Middle East just as much as Israel would (so would the UK and other Western countries). And I know people think the US government is somehow controlled by a small country in the Middle East with no oil, but they wouldn't spend hundreds of billions to go to war with people who don't serve their interests as well. Nor would they care about Israel if it was not in the Middle East. Come on, seriously/

This is a classic example of how the US government is losing popularity around the world. In a simple statement such as this, it will instill hate and distaste in many. This potrays the US like a bull at a gate and with an attitude of "it's our way or no way, like it or not".

If this is'nt the case, then the US needs to send a diplomat who can choose thier words a bit better.
