white thunderbird?

a few years ago, i got a book called "the jon gnagy doodler's handbook". surprisingly, there was a page to draw a spacecraft called "the white thunderbird". there picture of the craft looked like one of those 1950's flying saucers. the mountain behind the saucer looked like the devil's tower(can be seen in the film "close encounters of the third kind"), but said it was discovered in the high craggy mountains.

i checked a few websites about the legend, but all i got were just pages about a pterodactyl or a car.

the legend belonged to a tribe called the tahquitz.

has anyone heard of this legend?

does anyone know of this?
