Could the symbol for praying be masonic?

Placing your hands in this position is a symbol of submission. It comes from the days when the servant would place his hands in that position, and the master would place his hands over the servants hands, as a sign that he would submit and serve his master.

So when you put your hands in that position, your placing yourself in submission to the will of God.

I forget where I learned that, but I'll try to find it.

Interesting. When I first started traveling, I encountered a local lodge where everyong did that... and I had never seen it before. Suffice to say, I was a tad perplexed.

I suppose I understand, based off that experience, why the fraternity bamboozles so many outsiders... and why so many conspiracy theories crop up.
