BREAKING NEWS Israeli Ground Troops Moving into S Lebanon

CNN is reporting Israeli ground troops moving into Southern Lebanon, so says a spokesman for the Israeli Defense Forces.

Well let the bullets fly? I will look out for a link on CNN's site or drudgereport. War is just esculating.

thank you, the last that I have heard is that they are not saying how many Israeli troops are there but they are on a mission to destroy Hezbollah positions. Details are still coming in.

Knew this was coming when I saw this in YNETNEWS. That and all the Israeli spokepersons kept saying that they had no desire to enter Lebanon. While I support them, I knew it was bull. No one in a military says what they will not due, sort of gives away you hand.

Do not know how much good this will do. Just seems that this was exatly what Hizbullah (read Syria or Iran) wanted. Maybe this will be just a quick strike.
If this report is correct we may be seeing the IDF building their buffer before the cease fire.

Saying it is temporary and very much planned and in no way an occupation of Lebanon but more of a quick incursion like what just happened in the last day or so.

I wonder how massive this operation will become, I know isreal is saving all most all of its fire power and resources for a possible war with other countrys, worst case scenario speaking though. But in the Pursia anything can happen.

That makes sense actually, if your going to make a defensive line where it would make a difference behind the enamys old lines of defense, its just showing they are closing i on the terrorist group i guess. Its just moving the front lines deeper into the enamys terrotory, nothing to ironic about that. Weither you agree with the war or not thats what it appears they are doing.

When isn't something they do for defensive purposes. So sick of their lies. They think everyone is blind. They keep saying that the Lebanese should thank them for what they are doing. Then they bombed the Lebanese (proper) army barracks and killed about 25 of them. Lets see how many houses they trash and how many innocent... err.. I mean terrorists women/children supporters they kill while looking for these Hezbollah militiamen.

So much for peace talks. I often wonder how Israel would act if we stopped acting like that big bad guy who never says a word but lets the small little puppy yap yap yap. I wonder how long that poodle would keep acting like a pit-bull? Just a thought.

lol.. an offensive defense?? crazy Israelis.. So Israel wants to go back into Lebanon.. They will loose men there, more bloodshed While I support Israels actions, not puting up with terrorist... If they want to make sure Hezzbollah stays away next time.. they better re-build Lebanon. America and the entire world should help as well with funding the democratic government, re-build the shops and the infistructure and the economy and the homes for the Lebaneese, surly no one could disagree with that? If Israel occupies and leaves Lebanon a mess it will spawn another generation of terrorist.

While i dont agree with the Israeli actions on lebanon or palestine i believe that you make a fabulous point that Israel and the U.S. and all the western world, better rebuild lebanon even better than it way befor, so that the new generation will not term to terroism.
But again if this was done for the last 40 years to all arab nations rather than exploiting them for their oil, we would not of had the problem of islamic terroism that we have today.

Israel can't win this war on terrorists by means of airstrikes and missiles alone. They need to move into S Lebanon and carryout pinpoint strategic strikes on Hezbollah strongholds, known Hezbollah leaders, and Hezbollah weapons supplies. Next they need to deal with the puppet masters who have their hands up Hezbollahs a$$ ( Iran and Syria ). If Israel is going to take on terrorists they should commit and go to the source of the problem.
