1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 block cheddar cheese
6-7 medium to large potatoes
4 tbsp. butter
3/4 cup milk

Peel and cut potatoes into 1 inch pieces and boil in large pot until tender to touch. Remember to remove starch that floats to top with spoon as will ruin the taste. Drain all water from pot and add salt, onion and garlic powder, butter and milk. Whip potatoes with fork and grate cheese in while still hot. Continue until all is thoroughly blended.

Enjoy

Get a tub of SMASH, whack it in a bowl with some water, microwave for 2-3 minutes, slap some butter on and voila! My patented can't be bothered snack!

I think you should use fresh garlic, it's much tastier.

Also, the absence of chives makes me think there's a conspiracy afoot...

asala, you're right.

If you can get powdered mustard, all the better.

I can't remember the name of it, but there's this English mustard powder that comes in a little silver tin, you're supposed to add water to it to make mustard, but you can just add it in straight to get that nice bite, without altering the consistency of the taters.

Oh, scallions are good too, so are shallots.

And leave the skins on or face my wrath!
