No offense Incunabula but I have become very familiar with the Incunabula and Ong's hat mythos and without getting into too much, Ong's hat is a "culture jam" which is another way of saying a hoax or "experiment" that got out of hand.

Joe Matheny has admitted a number of times to the whole thing being fake. Here's a direct quote from an interview with Joe:

Joseph Matheny: The Incunabula catalog is a culture jam, created by culture jammers. There is no 'group' that existed previous to 1987, at least not as described in the brochure. 4 people got together in the 80s and 90s and put those documents together. NONE preceded their existence. However, many legends and synchronicities have occurred since. That is beautiful and indicative of a responsive universe.

Here is a link to the page with the interview:
www.newworlddisorder.ca...

Its a great story, but in the end that's all it is. Reading the entire interview will give you a good idea as to how clever Joe and his fellow jammers are and how interesting and self-fulfilling viral meme experiments can be.

Simply googling Joe Matheny or Joseph Matheny will give you all you need to know about the creation and different manifestations of Ong's Hat.

Boy!! what a read just to find out that htis guy is really into himself.

1. the photos are so "Hacked" and out of porportion, you can't tell what is what,"Until you hit the local 'Photoshop' icon.LOL

2. His assessment of how he beieve''s a higher demenentional being because of his birth date and such is ludicris, at very least..

3.On his interview's, there is subtle changes in his comment's and demeanor toward's the subject's of discussion....

4. He claim's to have brother's roamin g the earth for the "Better Welfare's of Mankind" but tend's to treat them like some kind of "Heathin" in the same sentence.

5. he is so arrogant that I would allow him to be catagorically placed as a "Narcistic character complex."

This guy is in his own "Little World" and he should start getting back to the problem's,"The one's he has" at hand. IMHO

No, i seriously doubt anyone is stupid enough to buy it...i mean at first he was asking 500K but its on his site for 1.3m...what a tool. He tried a get-rich-quick scheme that in the end made him look like a complete and arrogant idiot. On a more deeper level i would like to know what it is that really drives these people to take everyone for a ride like this, money? fame? humor?

Oh collective you were close, so close but unfortunately the answer we were looking for was Ego... that's EGO...so you won't be going on to the bonus round.

However AMUK will have thirty seconds to answer the following conspiracy questions correctly, if he gets them all right he'll win a 2007 Saturn Sky and a years worth of turtle wax car wax, that's turtle wax: the year long shine that's totally kind.

We'll be right back after these messages for our bonus round.

Seriously though I've met quite a few of these types over the years and I have to say that in the end it really is just Ego, they think they're smarter and more clever than everyone else.

While they themselves are as fascinated by conspiracy and the paranormal as much as the rest of us, they some how feel entitled to pull these hoaxes in order to prove to themselves that most people involved in the field are gullible.

And of course this proves (to them) that they are smarter, it's a sick sort of logic.

Basically, in psycho-bable laymens terms, in order for them to feel intellectually superior they go out of their way to try and make others look intellectually inferior.

This is just based on my own experiences in dealing with hoaxers so I'm always willing to be proven wrong. In the end the money and fame are very limited and there are actually better ways to make more money.

In my opinion at least. And I should say of course I'm judging this person off what I've seen here and not a personal investigation. Again, always open to the fact that I may be prejudiced from previous experience, but I highly doubt it.

And of course there are the ones who are just plain nuts, but this instance would (again in my opinion) be filed under ego driven hoax...like 99% of all hoaxes.

Doesn't mean you shouldnt keep looking for the truth. I've been in this for a very long time and I have never found true, verifiable proof.

But I still believe, so I keep looking.
