Wingspan over 30 meters, but I don't get the intakes.

If anybody has coords of various S300 or other SAM sites please let me know.

I think your co-ords may be slightly off, but I think the a/c you're referring to is an Antonov AN-72.

I agree that it's an An-72/74

Re S-300 etc - naturally I have found loads of them. Here are some coords:

SA-10B S-300PS/PM (note that launchers are truck mounted not trailer mounted): 44 35 46 N 33 25 37.20 E - also look about 3-5km there are two more SA-10 sites, an empty SA-5 site and an in depot SA-10 unit.

Chinese SA-10A (S-300P) site: 31 29 34 N 121 16 43 E

Some more curiosities.

USAF C-17 transport in Vietnam: 21 13 30 N 105 47 35 E

Chinese self-propelled howitzers deploying for coastal defence: 38 47 36 N 121 16 32 E

Russian Bomber base with Bear and Backfire bombers: 49 14 15 N 140 12 03 E

Iraqi MiG-21 fighter they hid in the desert during Iraqi Freedom: 33 50 30 N 42 29 48 E (there are about 30 similar aircraft all around this air base, very few were destroyed by Alies)

I think your co-ords may be slightly off, but I think the a/c you're referring to is an Antonov AN-72.

On the other thread you had Navy fire power charts, and I'm wondering if you might know where I can find info on Crimean SAM deployment.

I already looked in FAS and wartime.ru, no luck there, so any advice will be apritiated.

I know of quite a few SAM sites in and around Crimea including redundant ones. Also AEW radar sites and air bases etc. Explain what that LockOn thing is all about - I could be of use to you if I know what it is you want.

LockOn is a third generation release of the original SU-27 flight simulator released back in 1995. Other then having the most accurate flight dynamics, weapons modeling and the most intelligent AI modeling, the most powerful aspect of the program is the mission editor.

It uses a satellite based 3D map of the Crimean peninsula. The simulator allows for theater wide tactical mission planning and execution with fully active Navy, ground, SAM and air forces, both of Western and Eastern designs.

Unfortunately this great sim has been losing fan base in US, mainly because the forum community on the US forum site has been pretty much obliterated by bias and slated admin enforcement, and not to many English speaking folks choose to hang out on the Russian forums.

It's to bad, because considering such a deep program base, sim could have easily been turned into the most dynamic live turn base military sim in existence.

It's exactly what I have been doing lately instead of just flying missions. I set up various tactical scenarios and play them out in real time.

At the moment I'm building a campaign based on the recent "Sea Breeze 2006" crises that brought Crimea to the brink of civil war, and need all the info I can get.

I already moved most of the Russian fleet from Feodosiya to Novorossiysk, set up some EWR stations by Taman, but badly need actual data to set up a realistic environment.

I found a huge Nuclear symbol in the ground near White Sands New Mexico...is this a possible burial site for waste?? Look here 32 52'59.46" N 106 05'26.02" W

Very close to the same location I found some sort of military base with a bunch of fighter jets with red wingtips. It's here: 32 51'23.35" N 106 05'23.31 W

North of that I found another aircraft. It's some sort of large Delta Wing. I do not see a runway nearby. Here: 32 53'09.92 N 106 08'35.35 W

Also, I assume you guys have seen all the nuclear testing targets in Nevada, but I think I might have found one of the original targets from the early New Mexico test days. Here: 33 05'26.97" N 106 10'47.84" W

Holy crap, I found another one northeast of that one. This one is even larger:
33 10'31.45" N 106 08'41.85" W

Yet another west of that one. I think I'll stop posting them. Let's see what else is around here guys. Here: 33 11'46.48" N 106 09'55.35" W

Okay, one more very interesting thing I found. There are lots of things like this in this area. Stange roads leading to small buildings in the middle of nowhere and the like. This happens to be an absolutely enormous circle in the ground that looks almost impossibly perfect. WTF is this? Here: 33 17'37.71" N 106 21'45.53" W

Sorry I've just found more targets. Look around in this area, mostly north for more! 33 21'08.93 N 106 16'50.99" W

North of all the targets and craters I've found a very interesting road. What's with triangular turnouts? Man, this state deserves a thread of it's own.

Ohh, look at this. Looks like they are about to blow a bunch of stuff up in this target. They have painted all the jets and containers white, probably to aid in locating damage. Look directly east of this circle to see another Delta wing ready to get blown to bits.

Now this thing is almost scary looking! What is that sticking out of the end of this tunnel? It looks like a giant craft!

I thought at first this was a crater caused by underground nuclear testing in Arizona, but the more I look at it the more it looks like some sort of volcano. Look at the black glass looking stuff eminating from it's base up north.

The jets with red wingtips are QF-4s at Holloman AFB.

The large delta looks to be an F-102, or probably more likely, F-106. I guess it's there as scrap

Interestingly, just to the west of there is the starting point of the rocket-sled track, which goes off north for a loooong way!
