NASA have posted a video from one of the solid booster rockets from the recently launched shuttle. What's cool about this video is that it shows the
rocket detaching from the shuttle and dropping into the ocean. Amazingly the camera survived the impact and continued filming.
That was really cool! Except the part where it detached and started tumbling. I highly recommend dramamine for that part if you haven't watched it
yet.
That’s an amazing video! There was a picture from what must have been that camera of the shuttle with just the liquid fuel tank which is an image I
have never seen before
I just noticed there were two videos. The 2nd one, "Right Aft Solid Rocket Booster Video" is really neat. Especially the view of the shuttle when
the SRB breaks away. You can also see the smoke trail from the launch in the distance and certain times while the rocket is spinning and falling. Good
stuff.
It is a very interesting view watching the booster come all the way down to earth. The fleeting seconds after separation from the shuttle before it
starts tumbling are incredible, almost seemed unreal seeing the shuttle like that.
