The latrine for female soldiers at Camp Victory wasn't located near their barracks, so they had to go outside if they needed to use the bathroom. "There were no lights near any of their facilities, so women were doubly easy targets in the dark of the night," Karpinski told retired U.S. Army Col. David Hackworth in a September 2004 interview.

It was there that male soldiers assaulted and raped women soldiers. So the women took matters into their own hands. They didn't drink in the late afternoon so they wouldn't have to urinate at night. They didn't get raped. But some died of dehydration in the desert heat, Karpinski said.

Well I wouldnt be surprised if have of these soldiers had criminal pasts, its not exactly easy to recruit good americans to go risk getting killed when their pay is probably less than what they are paid to do other things. Usually the types of people who enlist are from poor backgrounds.

Also, and I will probably be called a racist for this but I believe this is a factor the Army is 60-80% black or hispanic. These types of crimes are typically higher in these groups.

Actually this is quite serious.

A top US military commander has admitted that US marines in Iraq were so sexually frustrated that after 4 long years, they couldn't control themselves, and these boys went ahead and raped their own female soldiers. these rapes occured during the night. The women soldiers were so terrified that they would not go for a leak after dark.

No one has so far been arrested for raping US females soilders.

Some of these marines have been arrested and charged with raping Iraqi girls. Some troops dont like Arab women and so they went for caucasians types. It appears that some marines were only into uniforms.

In a testimony in New York, Col. Janis Karpinski accused Gen. Sanchez of trying to cover up the rapes by his men of US female troops.

(1) As a percentage, these scum are a very minute few. If they are caught they had better hope that the authorities get them first as their fellow soldiers will not be as kind. This I know.

(3) TOD - Tour of duty is 12-16 months tops. those that have been there from there from the start, wanted to stay.
