The first mention of this was from From KRDO TV news a few days ago :
Four Installations Across The Country Are Affected By Order From U.S. Space Command
The Cheyenne Mountain Air Station And Buckley Air Force Base are among four installations in the country at the higher alert level ordered last week
by then- Acting-Commander of Air Force Space Command, General Fred Klotz.
Space Command would not comment on the reason for the security increase.
The order also affects Vandenberg Air Force Base in California and Patrick air force base in Florida.

This has also been picked up today by ABC in Denver:
North American Aerospace Defense Command, headquartered deep inside Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs, went to "Bravo-Plus" alert status as
part of the heightened alert.
Space Command would not comment on the reason for the security increase but reports indicated that it might be connected with a possible North Korean
missile test directed toward the United States
www.thedenverchannel.com...
More than likely this is due to the situation in North Korea, but then when you think about it, why would Patrick Air Force Base in
Florida go
to heightened alert for this when any NK missile warhead would not be capable of reaching that far, yet the anti-ballistic missile base in Alaska
which would be the first place you'd think would go to a higher alert for this is not mentioned?
By the way, this has now made it to Drudge's page
"NORAD ON HEIGHTENED ALERT..."
NewsMax has also picked up on it, but the article contains nothing new.
