I don't hate Satan, but I noticed a lot of people do. They blame everything on him and say he's the cause of all evil on earth....well excuse me for not believing that...They will also refer to Satan's stereotypical physical attributes and say he's ugly. Well I've seen visual interpretations of satan and I've still seen uglier humans walking the streets. I don't know, but I'm beginning to doubt all these satan haters, they seem to have the same mentality as Hitler's minions.

No, hating Satan isn't racism because he's an individual...a single entity. He is 100% evil and would like nothing more than to take your mind and soul from God and cause you pain.

The bible (Ezekiel) describes Satan as a "perfect beauty" before he turned against God, 2 Corinthians says that he disguises himself as an angel of light. Genesis says he is a "snake" or "serpent" but this could refer to his sneaky evilness. I believe Revelations mentions something about a horned dragon.

I guess he could take any form he wants....while not angelic he can appear so.

Another way of saying it: Satan can take any form we give him.

The externalized personification of the evil which resides within each of us deserves nothing less.

I would'nt use the word 'Hate',because Satan, 'Devil' or demon ,whatever be his name, chose the path he took ......He was LUCIFER 'bearer of light'' an Angel.
.....Angel meaning ''messanger''.....
Lucifer, which means bearer of light, was later renamed Satan, which means antagonist.

"There occurred a war in the heavens.
Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought against them.
However they did not prevail, and there was no room for them in heaven.
The great dragon was cast down, that ancient snake, known as devil and satan … and his angels were also cast down with him" (Revelation 12:7-9).

Angels were created before man was...

." The invisible, angelic world was created by God before the visible world. "When the stars were made, all My angels praised Me with a loud voice" (Job 38:7).

Here is what The Bible says about Lucifer meaning 'Light bearer'.......

St. Jude says: "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains, under darkness, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire" (Jude v. 6)

the dragon(being another name for Satan) drew after him one third of the stars in heaven (Revelation 12:4),
some conclude that at that time Lucifer seduced one third of the angels.
These fallen angels are called demons.

"Put on the armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities and the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness on high" (Ephesians 6:11-12).

The Devil or Satan, can influence our thoughts ,desires and so on,temptation is hat he does, it is man's free will to be tempted ......although this happens, we also have the opportunity to ask for forgiveness for our sins(which means to miss the mark)
Satan seeks to have us sink into our own raging sea of doubt and fear ( Matthew 14:25

And it is that 'Fear' that can lead to doubt and distrust and come to think that our own judgement is in fact TRUTH.

Is hating Satan religious racism?
Why would an opinion, be labelled as racism?
We can dislike alot of things and have our reasons for doing so, but to accuse someone of religious hatred toward the devil or his actions is going a bit too far in my opinion....

We all have opinions(As i larnt here at ATS)and because it is our opinions, we must not judge others for what they believe, but look at our own lives and deal with that first, before making accusations toward others.....

gee, hope all that makes sense.

Ok lets not label it racism and call it what it is "bigoted ignorant prejudice".
I love all the comments here about a not existant entity as if "Satan" was a real being.

Satan is a word, it means "The adversary", it can be applied to anyone
who is not your friend.

There are plenty of people who run around blaming everything on Satan,
there are religious TV programs that spend all their time blaming
something that doesn't exist on everything.

There is the whole Hollywood "cater to the idiots" market where
the main plot of every damned movie is "Satan strikes back, but the good
guys always win in the end". Lame.

The anthromorphic image of Satan is a fictional representation made for mass production.
It has evolved over the centuries from one shape to another.
The Suave Red Devil image most probably originates from theatrical stage productions of
of Marlowe's Doctor Faustus/Goethe's Faust. Its the simplest imagery to reproduce in theatre, film, and illustration, back before CGI effects and latex artists.

If you look at the image another way, it may have a basis in Racism, as the figure has likeness more akin to a mediterrean or arabian prince more than it resembles the northern europeans and milk white americans who so fear it.

Well I was primarily referring to the red horned guy with a beard. I never thought that was scary. And I saw it in a children's picture bible, and he was dressed in a loin cloth, I thought that was rather innappropriate, but he looked like he had been using bowflex for awhile.

Anywho I don't remember anyone referring to Satan as a dragon when I was christian, but I know most thought Satan shape shifted into that snake in Eden's garden, but again, I don't find snakes threatening unless I'm in close range and they're striking.... I rather appreciate their presence since they take care of most pests out in my area now that wolves are nearly extinct in my state and the coyotes are being pushed out further from their original habitats... if I see a little snakey in my yard I'll leave it alone.

Yeah it's in Revelations.

Revelation 12:9

The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
