Video Game Bans

why do politicians think they can successfully ban Mature video games to children under 17? Their parents will just buy the game for them. Joe Lieberman has been on a crusade for as long as i can remember about this issue. When will he just give up? it will never happen. what are your thoughts on this?

If the parent buys it for the kid (and they do), there isn't much anyone can do about it.
The laws in place are kinda messed up anyway.

Lieberman is just a poodle, Jack Thompson is the Pit Bull we should be worried about. He managed to pass his video game bill in some State somewhere and it will get struck down as a violation of free speach in due time. He's never managed to keep a bill constitutional. At least we don't live in Australia eh? They Ban games outright.
