The Shangri-la Dialogue is a summit on Asian defense infrastructure and policy.
This was the 5th annual summit, held from June 2-4 in Singapore. Delgates met in multiple plenary sessions and discussed security issues for the
region.

Uncertainty and instability in global affairs proved the prevailing theme, which delegates strove to address with a transparent and honest approach.
Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong delivered a Keynote Address which spoke to the future of Asian security and sought to build on the
outward-looking policies of most nations.

Attendees included defence ministers,civilian heads of defence ministries, business delegates, and think-tank and university representatives.
Rumsfeld was also in attendence, which shows just how involved the US can be on these sorts of under the radar, though still entirely public, events
can be.
