just got a text this minute that says:

Breaking news: the artist who drew the picture of PROPHET MUHAMAD (SAW). Has died in a fire he was burnt alive DENMARK govt is hiding the news from public please forward this message, its his punishment from ALLAH for insulting our Prophet.this is a forwarded sms...molana

could be bollox, cant find anything about it on the net

all i can say on the validity is that the person who sent it to me wouldn't have made it up and i doubt he started it, before he recieved it though who knows.

anyone heard anything?

Which artist died? There were 12 different artists making the 12 cartoons originally published in the newspaper (Jyllandsposten), and then there were some unknown artists making the fake cartoons the danish Imams were presenting to the world. Did some fake-picture artist die in a fire? Do you have any links?

typical dumb semi rumour thing it looks like it could be. probably turns out the fake picture artist nearly died in a fire, but the fire actually took place a few blocks away, and so he just reported it, but it turned out it was just some guy that the 'molana' knew

i sure don't have any links to reports of a political cartoonist getting pyred
