Do you use the gold dollars in circulation?

I visited my bank today and bought a couple of the gold dollar coins that the teller had. I am enjoying using them for purchases, but many people around me don't like them or won't take them in change. I like them better than the Susan B. Anthony dollar coins because they can't be confused with quarters.

Anyone else use them or do you not like them?

Oh, you're not talking about real gold.

Just the gold colored Sacajawea dollars.

Yeah, I use 'em if I got 'em.

edit = add following

Usually if I have one or two, I'll put it away for a rainy day.

Then when my funds are running low, that is when I use them. A lot easier than saving up any other loose change.

Yep, sorry, those are the ones.

I couldn't spell "Sacajawea" without seeing it spelled out for me first if my life would have depended on it.

If I use them in change at the convenience store, I get some funny looks at times like the cashier doesn't know exactly what to do with the coins.

I wish more soda machines and such took them.

The place I used to work at all the vending machines took them, or gave them out as change, if you use a $5 bill. So there were plenty if times, that I had a bunch of them.

Reminds me, I don't even know if I still have any. Since I'm not working presently, they might come in handy.

*laughs*

Check the shoe box under your bed... errrr... ummm... Maybe you shouldn't.

I was a little short on payday last week.
