You know, because of that movie, Apocalypse Now, a lot of people think the Doors was the preferred rock band in-country. but I swear I saw grown men weeping when we heard of the death of Jimi Hendrix.

Hey, what were your favorites?

The doors were okay but after being in country for awhile I always thought hendrix was the king. I cried a little when Jimmy Hendrix died but I don't recall criying over Jim morrison.

The songs I heard the most over the official U.S. radio were: Simon & Garfinkle, "Going Home." And Peter Paul & Mary, "Leaving on a Jet Plane."

I think they play those two song every fifteen minutes.

Anyone remember the Vietnamese rock bands? The cowboys with the long hair singing phonetically? "We got to get out of this place.." What I liked best about the Vietnamese bands is that I didn't think they actually understood the words.

There was a club in Downtown Saigon, right down from the whorehouse we broadcasted from who had a Vietnamese Group of "Teen" kids...... if you closed your eyes and just listened to the music and voices..... you would SWEAR that "The Beatles" were in Saigon. Damn they were great!

Hang on Sloopy!

OK reality check... The first song in its entirety was Jeremiah was a bull frog, and I would climb a tree and sit there and sing about the Bull frog and also my second song other that Tiny Tim's Tip Toe thru the Tulips was "I'm on the top of the world looking down on creation and the only explaination I can find..."

Any way you know that show Don't Forget the Lyric's? I have been able to know every single missing word on every show we have watched. Yes I am quite the spectacle with my family over that one...

Any way I did move on to Rock and Roll so with that said no way to ever call 'a' favorite, just not possible.
